the user interface is good, and simple, but it steers users towards a complex hierarchy of paid/unpaid services, rather than just a list of channels, which is what cord cutters were used to. If you just want to watch local news, for example, you have to FIND it, first, and it's not on a simple list, it's in a hierarchy. There is a learning curve.

I like ruko, my mom has one, which is were I found out about it. and I thought this was cool. Apartment complexes will love this because people there really struggle with getting a descent tv signle and have to pay for both internet and cable, and with this they can enjoy both tv and internet and only have to pay for internet. It's like having cable without having to pay for Cable, it's pretty cool. Way to go.

I just got rid of satellite and am saving over $100 a month. I subscribed to YouTube TV and got over 40 channels including my locals and regional sports networks for $35/month. Roku is the key to getting it to the TV. No more cables running across the floor. Roku is portable and the setup is easy.

I have used every streaming player on the market and RoKu Won! The user interface is very intuitive! I cut out the cost of multiple cable boxes and replaced with RoKu (6 and counting). It is a great product that could be made even better if it had a HD Antenna and access to over the air HD via main screen. Not a 75ohm connection but something small with a thin long range antenna. The remote is pretty unbeatable too but it could be even better if you could double click the down volume button for TV mute.

I decided to change my Roku Express because I was seeking to stream heavy HD movies from my Plex server via my AC wi-fi network and it work flawless. The in-line wireless antenna is definetely a step forward. Now I can turn off my TV from the Roku remote something I can't even do on my other two Roku Premieres.

This model has improved features that our original (Roku) did not have and they are definitely an improvement. The volume control, the ability to turn the tv on and off and the fact that it plugs directly into the tv make it worthwhile for us. However, we have had problems on several occasions connecting to our Netflix account which we never experienced with our original (Roku).

I've used Roku products of a number of years and have always been happy with everything. This is my 3rd Roku device purchase replacing an outdated AppleTV. The two biggest selling point were the small footprint (literally NO footprint, as it hides behind the TV when connected to the HDMI port) and the remote's ability to handle the TV's power & volume. Now we're down to just one remote that's way easier to keep track of compared to the little slippery silver remote of the AppleTV.

This is our second Roku device. First is the express version. We use for PS Vue streaming. Love the Roku setup and guide feature. Also loved that they added the ability to turn adjust volume and turn on the TV from the stick. Our express Roku doesn't have these features.

We already own two older Roku versions and are happy with them. I decided to buy my mother in law one for her birthday because our local cable company is now going all digital and requiring a box for every tv in your home or you'll lose all channels, so I decided to pick me up a newer version as well. These devices are so easy to hook up, simple user interface. Was able to show my mother in law how to use it and showed her all the free content on the device, she was impressed at how much is available on the Roku she's now considering cutting the cable cord like many others and paying for a streaming service. My in laws had a different streaming device before but never used it because it was too complicated for them. I have 5 TVs in my House and 3 Roku devices. I'll probably pick up 2 more for the other TVs. They have great picture quality and make great inexpensive gifts for hard to buy people.

This Roku Stick+ was bought to replace an older 2 XD. The stick is so much more responsive. It's doing what we want before we're finished pressing the buttons! And every channel upgraded in look and feel from the older version. Very happy with our purchase!
