I have both FireTV and a Fire Stick but now have three Roku Sticks. When cable got so expensive and a box is needed for each TV, we started with FireTV. Now I LOVE my Roku Sticks. The new HD stick is much faster and receives a very weak signal down in the basement of our multi-level home. I would recommend Roku anytime!!

This product makes viewing shows from different venues extremely easy. I have a Toshiba television with to HDMI inputs. You can use a laptop of smart phone to set it up. Directions are simple concerning connecting it to the t.v.. I am saving money by not paying for cable.

Roku allows me to view films and some tv without commercials. I gave up cable because of the commercials. In fact, cable should pay the viewer a fee to watch all those boring commercials. I recommed that the ROKU channel offer a paid subscription that is broadcast without the commercials. I also recommend that a manual be included with the ROKU even if a fee has to be paid. The website is not a good source for explaining how to access and use the different features. Overall I enjoy the product and have recommended it to friends.

Bought this about a month ago and with the exception of a few hiccups when streaming live TV it has worked better than expected. Navigation can be a little difficult. This was my first experience streaming so I can't offer a comparison to other similar devices.

I just bought this new roku stick and I love it! Works so much better than I could've asked for. Only issue I'm having and I'm not sure if its roku itself or my wireless provider or the apps but I keep getting a network error and I got booted off. My daughter cant watch Netflix on her roku Express it wont let her. Weird. But otherwise I highly recommend the roku stick plus! Way better signal.

We live in a rural area with lower than ideal connection speeds. I had been relying upon an LG Blu-Ray player for streaming options from our main television, but it no longer was able to connect. I bought a new router, then purchased a new LG device, but the system still wasn't streaming. My son, a mechanical engineering major at OSU, suggested a device with a much stronger receiver and antenna, and he suggested this Roku. I ended-up returning the new LG and buying the Roku instead. It works perfectly. No connection problems whatsoever anymore. I really appreciate your device!

I purchased an Amazon fire stick and found out it was not compatible with my cable co. So took it back. Roku is better but beware, what they don't tell u is that u are not charged anything if u only have one. But if u purchase another one, they prevent u from completing the installation of it until u pay them a one time service charge of $69.99. Then u can install as many Rokus as u want. I believe this should be told up front to consumers and not after u have purchased it and in the middle of the setup.

This is my fourth Roku device over the past 5 years. The Streaming Stick+ continues the evolution of adding very useful features as well as having the most services and applications. Performance is a nice improvement over the original Streaming Stick, and is perfect for traveling and using in hotels while I am on the road with the ability to login into hotel WiFi networks. My daughter uses my older Streaming Stick in college and finds it works well and is easy to use with great picture quality.

I have been a Roku customer for the last 6 years. I finally upgraded as my Roku 2 started having some difficulties to the Roku Streaming Stick+. So far i am really enjoying my new Roku, with the exception of one thing. Unfortunately when I set up my new Roku none of my watchlist converted to "MyStuff". My list, whatever names it's been called over the years is the only complaint I have had about Roku in my 6 years as a customer. Every time software makes a drastic change, or in this case, I change hardware, my list has NEVER transitioned easily and this time, it didn't transfer at all. I contacted Roku about it, but was basically told that once or IF the prompt doesn't come up the first time that it will never come up again and there is no way to transition after this point, it must all be done manually by adding everything individually. I don't know why this never happened for me, perhaps the app updating on my phone had something to do with it though I really don't know, but now I have to add everything manually, which is ridiculous. Don't get me wrong I LOVE my Roku and would not trade it for anything, just disappointed that this is still a problem after all this time and that now it is now going to take a lot of time to fix.

Such a great product. With the attention paid to not only improving your Wi-Fi signal, but with the additional of the volume rocker AND the ability to power your TV, this is the perfect item. My lone complaint is that I have a projector and a receiver and can only control one or the other. Fix that and it's six stars out of five!
