Thought I would take advantage of a Roku offer to upgrade my older model streaming stick, which was working fine. This one overheats whenever the room reaches 70°; ridiculous! Roku replaced it once and same, newer model is identically bad. I love the remote, but the stick keeps popping up with overheating warnings. The unit is not in an enclosed cabinet and nowhere near a heat source. I love Roku, but will never purchase another stick! Do a search, this is an extremely common problem.

Don't buy this. I purchased it and ever since I've had to switch out the batteries every two weeks because the batteries drain so quickly in the remote. I contacted support and they said that this is a known issue they are working to address. They asked me to try changing my set up (plugging into the wall for power not the tv), which I did and the battery still drains ridiculously quickly. If you go to their forums you'll see this is a long-running issue with this model. I don't even know why they are selling a product with a serious technical flaw like this.

I had three of these and all 3 overheated.. was told by roku that it is a known issue.. my device was on the side plug of my tv.. should not be having issues with overheating.. thank goodness it wasnt on one of the plugs behind the tv because i would have had to remove the whole tv from the wall if so.. or hope it doesnt overheats and catch fire

I love this product and makes life easier by having Netflix, prime, youtube in one place. The remote has caused issues. It has connectivity issues at startup. Once it gets connected it works fine. Sometimes I have to open the back panel of the remote , remove batteries and put them back. then they connect fine after that.

After about 4 months we started having issues with our remote control. It constantly disconnects from our tv, and we have to re-set the device up. I've tried contacting Roku customer service thru email abc phone and have had no luck getting in touch with anyone. Extremely disappointing

I bought the Roku stick+ as I own the Ultra in another room. It signed me out of all my apps on the Ultra. It also Moved all the apps I had on the Ultra around. I wasted over an hour resetting my Ultra and my new stick+. There is NO customer support available. A waste of time. Sticking with Apple TV.

I really like the Roku service, all the apps they offer, and the content they have when the controller is working but that is next to never. I am constantly taking out the batteries and unplugging the stick to reset the controller for it to work for 5 minutes then I have to react the process all evening long. I also have a Roku TV and that works great and I really like how the streaming stick plugs right into your TV but the controller is just garbage.

I have had two of the Roku Streaming Stick + for several years. They are still performing extremely well to this day. Easy to navigate and frequently updated. All of my favorite apps - Netflix, Disney +, YouTube TV, Hoopla, Peacock, and Pandora. I am a big Roku fan!

I've been using my SS+ for over a year now and can say that it works great, when the remote works. Since the remote doesn't use direct IR it has to connect to your wifi to connect to the SS+. If I'm running a network heavy game, I lose this remote's connection, which happens a lot. There are times when I can't connect it at all and have to use my phone as a remote. When that happens I have to restart my router, the SS+, and the remote (remove/reinsert batteries). I recommend looking at a different Roku device if you are a heavy streaming/gaming user.

Brought this less than 2 years ago. It just died. Tried connecting the WiFi and it would not connect. I have had plenty of HDMI problems in the preceding months and now it just not work at all. Tried all the fixes on the website and nothing worked. Last Roku I had lasted over 5 years and it worked fine.
