I have to replace my double AA batteries every few days or remove the batteries. USELESS. I have returned two units to Best Buy, and then contacted Roku who sent me a "NEW" remote. Same problem. Not just me. Read the forums on Roku and on the web. DO NOT BUY...unless you have stock in Duracell.

The remote appears to be on all the time, draining the batteries. I'm not sure what it's doing, since we use the Roku rarely. If you purchase this device, be sure to invest in a big supply of AAA batteries - and store them in a location convenient to your TV.

Unbelievable. So last month I replaced both my Roku players with the Roku StreamingStick+. Today both DIsney+ and Hulu stopped working... as in... if you select them... a couple of seconds goes by and it returns to the main menu. Remove the application and re-add it... same behavior. So I go to call Roku... online support now only... and it appears the support comes through a community forum. Absolutely pitiful.

While I love My Roku+ when it's not overheating. Overheating continues to be an issue no matter what I try. Roku provides lots of FREE channel options along with low-cost channel add-ons. While I bought the Roku+ to avoid tv upgrade. I think I will go with Roku tv next go around.

I like it. I purchased this to view tv in remote locations (like outdoors on our patio). Set up was easy. WiFi range is excellent. I like products that work well, are intuitive and easy to use, and have great features. - So, is ROKU pronounced ‘Row Koo' or ‘Rock You'?

I had problems with the account set up. I called the number on the brochure and the people could barely speak English. They insisted the problem was on my laptop. They said my Anti-Virus program was not working properly. They insisted that I had to allow them remote access to laptop to see where the problems were, then proceeded to try to tell me that I had several Trojans on the laptop and they were causing problems with ROKU. He insisted that the CSRRS files were Trojans. I disconnected the remote access connection and hung up the phone. I looked up all the so called "Trojans" they insisted that I had including CSRRS. CSRRS is needed by windows to run properly. I reset the ROKU stick and continued with the installation with no further problems. The Technician as well as his so called supervisor had no clue. I have over 30 years experience in the computer field, built multiple computers for people, so I do have some knowledge on the subject, yet they talked to me as if I had no knowledge at all, even though I mentioned that I did have past experience with computers. They also insisted that they were based in California, which I doubt, their accent made it extremely hard to understand them. If this is how Tech Support is, makes one wonder just how the rest of the company is!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just bot it. it worked and then the next night the remote started re-setting itself. Everything is frozen. Roku wont work and teh remote's green light continues to blink. i have tried taking batteries out, pulling ROku stick out - nothing is working.

I had three of these and all 3 overheated.. was told by roku that it is a known issue.. my device was on the side plug of my tv.. should not be having issues with overheating.. thank goodness it wasnt on one of the plugs behind the tv because i would have had to remove the whole tv from the wall if so.. or hope it doesnt overheats and catch fire

Thought I would take advantage of a Roku offer to upgrade my older model streaming stick, which was working fine. This one overheats whenever the room reaches 70°; ridiculous! Roku replaced it once and same, newer model is identically bad. I love the remote, but the stick keeps popping up with overheating warnings. The unit is not in an enclosed cabinet and nowhere near a heat source. I love Roku, but will never purchase another stick! Do a search, this is an extremely common problem.

I purchased my first roku stick about three years ago while living in florida, it was a new adventure for me, it provided for a new way of watching television for my wife and me. I enjoyed it so much i researched when i needed a new Television and opted to get a TCL/ROKU television to continue my experience in my home on all my tvs. I find it easy to operate for were not tech savy at all. My nights are full of entertainement all provided by roku.
