Easy setup

Easy to set up. The feature that I love the most is that, at night, I can privately listen and watch movies while hubby's asleep. I just put my headphones on, and not worry how loud the sound might be, especially when I'm watching action movies.

Our ROKU Stick

We bought our stick on Black Friday (well Thursday). Installation and set up was super easy. Have to say we have absolutely enjoyed it. We have antennae TV, so do not have cable or satellite. This has made such a difference in what we have been limited to watching. Would I recommend this? Absolutely YES......

BEWARE OF THIS PRODUCT IF YOU VALUE YOUR TV

SORRY ROKU BUT I AM POSTING THIS REVIEW TO TELL THE WORLD TO BEWARE IF YOU BUY & INSTALL A ROKU STREAMING STICK PLUS. It's going on over a month and haven't heard anything from you. My install was going fine until I got to the screen where you choose pixel quality. I Believe I chose 1080I(?). When I advanced to the next screen, the screen turned green and quickly flashed a message for a second saying something like "your TV has been compromised...you have to finish......"and then the screen went totally black and bounced me out of the setup mode altogether. I shut the TV off, and tried to start install over but when I turned the TV on, it flashes a picture of the show for a few seconds and then the screen goes black again. The sound stays on but no picture. I tried this process several times and even did a factory reset of the TV and it didn't help. I don't have anything to say about customer service because I haven't received any. The automated robo customer service was useless. The last thing I wanted to do was broadcast my frustration, but what do you do when you get NO SERVICE after asking for it. I returned the stick to the store today but I am stuck with a damaged 43" Samsung flat screen TV that was only 5 years old! I bought a SMART TV to replace it and am happy with it. I will gladly remove this VERY NEGATIVE review if ROKU reimburses me for the TV the I just purchased. I AM NOT HAPPY AT ALL! - but sending Happy Holiday wishes to everyone!

Roku is great, remote sucks

I have to use the remote thru the App because none of my remotes will connect any longer. Roku customer service said it's simmering in my wireless set up at home. But nothing has changed as it was fine the first 4 months I owned it. I have done all of cust service's suggestions and trouble shooting. Even have a different remote..... Same problem but just got worse. I had no issues like this with my roku stick just the stick+. I'm switching products!!

good streamer easy to use and setup

This is my 4th Roku I have bought and love them, but one issue is the remotes don't have a audio jack or ability to connect directly to Bluetooth speakers or earphones. I know I can use the Roku remote app on my phone, but I don't prefer to tie up the phone for private listening.

Hospital lifesaver

We picked up another Roku so our daughter could have access to our streaming services while in the hospital. As she is probably going to be there for most of the next 6-8 for leukemia treatment, being able to make her feel more at home is a true blessing. And the Roku is so affordable - it's nice to have one less thing to worry about right now.

I bought my 1st streaming stick about 3 yrs ago.

I bought the premier. Now all of a sudden neither can connect to the tv. We are in a dead zone so we are unable to get internet. We use our hot spot on our iPhones.I went on the connectivity site and then I realized that this is coming out of India and I was told that I had to sign up for a 6 month contract to get connected. Do yo charge everybody for this service? Not Happy in Alaska.

Tech Support

I had problems with the account set up. I called the number on the brochure and the people could barely speak English. They insisted the problem was on my laptop. They said my Anti-Virus program was not working properly. They insisted that I had to allow them remote access to laptop to see where the problems were, then proceeded to try to tell me that I had several Trojans on the laptop and they were causing problems with ROKU. He insisted that the CSRRS files were Trojans. I disconnected the remote access connection and hung up the phone. I looked up all the so called "Trojans" they insisted that I had including CSRRS. CSRRS is needed by windows to run properly. I reset the ROKU stick and continued with the installation with no further problems. The Technician as well as his so called supervisor had no clue. I have over 30 years experience in the computer field, built multiple computers for people, so I do have some knowledge on the subject, yet they talked to me as if I had no knowledge at all, even though I mentioned that I did have past experience with computers. They also insisted that they were based in California, which I doubt, their accent made it extremely hard to understand them. If this is how Tech Support is, makes one wonder just how the rest of the company is!!!!!!!!!!!!
