When I saw this advertised I was excited to get it. I had hoped I could get rid of my inflated cable bill. After installing it I found out that I can't get some of the channels that I was interested in unless I pay a monthly fee. My grand kids are enjoying the kids channels so I will keep it just for that.

I got my Roku a week ago and absolutely love it, but the only thing that really gets on my nerves is that anytime it freezes (I guess being on too long) or the Internet goes down I have to go and do a factory reset every single time because if not nothing works and I can't get it to connect again!

Bought this 2 months ago to help ween me off cable. I'm totally cable free and don't feel like I'm missing anything! Lots of fun to really choose exactly what I want to watch, rather than waiting for my cable company to make things available to me. Saving $600 this year!

Does exactly what I wanted it to do. Allows both Netflix and Amazon prime video to be played. Also acts like a cable box with spectrum cable TV without the monthly rental charge. Right now the only additional things I would like is to be able to switch sources on the TV with the Roku remote, as the Roku remote already controls the volume and power. And, when adding an additional Roku device, not having to re-enter your password and id on each device for each subscription service you have, like Netflix, Amazon prime, spectrum, etc.

I purchased the ROKU Streaming Stick + so I could eliminate my costly Spectrum cable TV. Unfortunately, the few channels (5-10) require a Cable TV subscription. The free channels are ok but they don't stream very well and pause frequently. My WIFI link shows as "Good" when running the ROKU test but it still pauses on occasions. Again love concept, but not the best execution. Phone support also difficult to reach and often supported by persons who has a very strong accent making it difficult to resolve issues.

After using this device for a month, I find changing channels to be a pain. As I scroll up through the menu to look at shows to View, if I've been want to go back to channel 2, I have to scroll all the way back. There should be a simpler and seen her way of moving about the channel selection.

This Roku is good for me because I do not have to look for the TV remote, but the product claims that there is less buffing...not true. I still have buffing with this Roku as I did with my Roku Express. I hope with the new upgrades it will change over time. But would not change using this product at all.

The tv was on for less than 15 minutes when a message popped up that it was overheating. An hdmi extender is included with the device because I'm guessing this is a known problem. I just bought the tv yesterday. It is a popular Samsung 50" hanging on the wall from a full-motion mount. No restricted air flow. I've always had an Apple TV but I bought the Roku based on the advice from my son because he said it was cheaper than Apple and offered the same features. Except my Apple TV doesn't have the overheating feature. I'll pay more for "less" features, thank you. The Roku is going to be returned and I will get a 4K Apple TV.

I had two other Rokus, the previous stick model and the one before that. The difference in speed between those two was considerable so I wanted to replace the oldest model. I am so impressed and happy with the 3810 model that I will be replacing the other one with another of these.

I bought this to replace a Roku stick that was provided with my JVC TV back in 2014. The performance increase is amazing...everything boots & loads very quickly and there are no buffering issues. The Remote has a back-skip function but needs a skip-ahead function. Ideally both should be user definable for the amount of time desired.
