I had a Roku streaming stick that was less than 2 years old and it quickly connected to my wireless router but would not connect to the internet for a full week. During that time I visited the roku website & read numerous articles about what could be wrong. After resetting the roku, resetting the router, moving the stick to a different HDMI slot, changing batteries, moving my cordless phone, etc. nothing helped. I then contacted Roku support twice and opened a support ticket but never received a reply even after 3 days. I finally rolled the dice & bought a new Roku streaming stick which solved the problem. However the original streaming stick should have lasted longer (not even 2 years) and roku support was completely inadequate. I just hope the new one lasts longer than the old one did.

I love the features available on the new stick+ such as the option for 4K, faster processor and especially the attached wireless receiver. I think the stick+ is a great upgrade from the older models. However, I did encounter a couple of issues. First, this stick is longer than the older model I have and it doesn't fit into the HDMI port on the back of my television. I have to order a separate 270 degree (right angle) adapter piece before I can install it. I'm concerned that connecting with a generic adapter may either affect the fidelity of the connection or may not be fully compatible with my HMDI port. Second, the power cable attaches to roku on the side, as opposed to the end of the stick as my previous roku, so the power cable sticks up and out from the side of my TV and looks awkward. I would still recommend this stick+ for the more advanced features, but those are issues that I think roku and customers should be aware of.

I cannot believe how great Roku is! When I had satellite service I was paying almost $100 a month for a bunch of channels I never watched. Since I installed my Roku stick 2 weeks ago, I not only watch everything I want but I have been able to explore tons of things I never had access to. The subscriptions I've chosen only cost me $25 a month. What a great value for the investment!

Bought the streaming stick+ for its features. Returned the first one I bought as the remote didn't work. The next worked but would occasionally have issues with the remote. After just over 2 mos. the arrows don't work and all I get is the bouncing roku across the screen. Tried all fixes out there and still nothing. Very frustrated. Not worth the money!!

I love the Roku Streaming Stick+ overall. It's easy to use, and the interface is intuitive. Setup was a breeze as well. And selection of connected apps is top-notch. I don't like that you can't turn the sound off of the main UI (as in, it makes sounds when you move around menus). You also don't have some of the functionality that, for instance, my older Blu-ray had (as far as Netflix app, in particular). Still, it's fantastic for the price point, and (from what I've seen) it's miles better than any competitor.

I've received the latest Roku Stick. It has the ability to power on/off the tv, and also can adjust the tv volume. Love that! There is so much free content on the Roku. You could browse for weeks. This is my 6th Roku. They just seem to be ahead of the competition. Can't wait to see what they come up with next!

2 of our 3 HDTV's are hooked up to Firesticks and the other was hooked up to an older Roku. I purchased the Streaming Stick + to replace the older Roku and was blown away by the performance.Easy set-up and much faster performance and picture quality was noted right away. Easy set-up was had to add additional channels as well as the existing ones from the older Roku. I definitely made a wise choice and money was well spent. Thank You.

This is my sixth Roku device, and by far the hardest to setup. On the initial start up, after the "dancing" Roku letters, it would simply stop - black screen - at which point the TV would shift to cable input instead of the HDMI input that the Roku was plugged into. It did this repeatedly. Then I found that by rapidly pressing the home button on the remote during the initial screen, it would finally go into its setup routine. Then, while I got it hooked to the main router, it would not find the signal from the wifi extender. I then restarted the extender, and finally got the Roku to recognize it. Once it got hooked to the extender, it is in fact very fast at streaming. Much much better than the standard Roku stick that I was using before. So five stars for its performance, but downgraded a star for the setup difficulties.

bought this a few months ago. I had no problem until feb/march. My remote won't respond most of the time now. Frustrating. Piece of garbage. Save your money. Try the fire stick? went on website and they tried to charge me to talk! Its been over 30 days since purchase. You are out of luck. WARNING!

We streamed content thru a Blu-ray for a few years.....used a brand known for excellent WiFi reception. Well, we replaced our older Blu-ray with a new model,which was supposed to be better....it wasn't. We were able to struggle thru the last year until we bought the Roku plus at my wife's request, as she was tired of her shows being interrupted and reloading.....ALL PROBLEMS SOLVED..... if you need a device will give you the best WiFi reception for a problem area, TRY THIS
