We cut the cord over a year ago and purchased our first Roku for the family room, we love it, we just purchased the second Roku for the bedroom.. the Ruko stick, it was easy to hook up, less than 5 minutes and you have hundreds of programs to watch, we are very pleased with both purchases and getting rid of satellite and constant price hike every other month,

I was a skeptic, but I have a 2017 smart tv that NEVER updates, so I really needed this in order to watch more apps. It has all the apps I currently need, and makes my tv faster than it was. My modem is in the same room as the tv, so the response is super fast. Love that I only have one remote now too. So far it's working very well for my needs.

Rochester, NY TV cable box users are buying Roku's like crazy. Cable company scrambled signal. A friend and I have bought 5 Streaming+ units and are having excellent results. The drawbacks are no channel number entry, too many clicks to get to the Spectrum app channel desired, steep learning curve for accessing various features, navigating the Roku and Spectrum “screen settings” and knowing where you are, and two left arrows and Home button to master. HOWEVER it soon becomes easy to do, the picture is great, navigating channels is quick, AND you can access ALL the other non-cable company apps like Netflix with a couple clicks. It is a great solution to the money grubbing cable company boxes. Thanks Roku!

This is the 3rd Roku and 2nd Roku streaming we have purchased for our household and we upgraded to the 4K streaming stick to go with our 4K TV. The remote for this stick is able to turn on/off your TV and control the volume, which is great when it works. I would estimate this capability works about 95% of the time, which is better than the response we get from the actual stick itself. Our Roku stick becomes unresponsive about 25% of the time, but the remote will still control the TV just fine. We have had it for only a couple months and have already changed the batteries wondering if this would help solve the issue. We have had to disconnect the power to the stick to reset it multiple times when this happens. It's irritating when you spend money for a product and it doesn't work 100% of the time. At that rate, it would have been just as well to buy used.

This Roku stick replaced a Roku Premeire+ that while working well, would revert to automatic 4k 60Hz which for whatever reason would have a flickering "wink-out" forcing me to downgrade to 4k 30Hz which would be fine. This stick works fine at 4k 60Hz HDR on my 65" Samsung 4k curved screen. The voice search is uncanny. Nicely done Roku.

This is my fourth ROKU player. This ROKU Streaming Stick + was purchased to replace one of the original ROKU players purchased years ago when ROKU came out. Purchase was necessary to get all the current streaming channels (specifically DirecTV Now). This is a fantastic player that allows access to all the streaming channels and provides "voice search" and lets me turn the TV off and on and also control the volume.

I have always had a roku player. Recently, I had my Roku 1 quit streaming Netflix. Knowing that I was probably going to have to purchase a new streaming device, I chose to stay with Roku. Roku players are reliable and this version is FAST. I can't say this enought. This is faster than my google chrome and firestick. Love that I can control the TV power and volume as well. The Roku channel is a great feature as well. Keep up the good job guys!

I purchased this particular unit over other streaming units primarily because of the ability to control the TV's power and volume with the remote. That feature was nice and surprisingly easy to setup. The next reason I went with the Roku is because of both the other major options are to busy fighting over each other's services that thier devices don't meet my needs. The device itself works great and is much better and faster than the Panasonic smart TV app I have. The apps on the Roku are always up today which really lowers the frustration level when using them. The device does have some minor downfalls, the keyboard with the phone app doesn't always sync correctly with the device so you have to keep an eye out for what you are typing (although it's better than the on screen keyboard option.). The device appears to require more power (USB) right at startup than my TV can provide so I had to plug it into the wall, which is hard to always remember to stop what you are watching when you turn off the TV. This is a case where it would be nice if the device was smart enough to know when you press the power button you want the video to stop also.

Just got it yesterday and hooked it up right away. It took a little time on my end to get passwords entered but it's really nice to use. It's fast and the picture clarity is fantastic. It's very responsive to choices on the remote. I would, though, like to have the little strap on this remote that was on my old one. It's helpful when I'm rummaging around in the dark for the Roku remote to be able to find the strap and give a little pull. But I'm not complaining. I'm so very glad I replaced my old little Roku box.

It was very easy to install. My issue is with the IR connection with the remote. My TV is 10-12 feet from where we sit and the remote has issues reacting with the buttons we push , even with the remote pointed directly at the tv where the stick is mounted.
