I set this this stick up on tv that had cable. Set up was quick. I as already had Roku account and device on another tv so all my channel selection easily transferred to this tv. I picked the stick because it mated to the tv and is the only remote needed.

I highly recommend the Roku Streaming Stick+. I needed to replace my Roku 2 after almost 5 years, and the Streaming Stick+ was the best product for my tv. Very simple set-up, and as soon as I signed into my Roku account, everything from my previous Roku synced up. The apps are much easier to use on this model, the software works beautifully, streaming is smooth. Definitely worth the upgrade.

I decided to give Amazon FireTV a shot and the interface seemed so much more grown up. However, I had nothing but problems with all three FireTV's I bought. I switched back and Viola! all the issues I was having went away. This streaming stick + is a nice addition to the family, its quick and responsive and does what you want it to do. Love it.

Easy setup, however, it would be hard for an older person to setup. Too much computer. The only thing I am disappointed with is that there is no earbud/headphone access on the remote. It should be a standard feature on all the remotes. We have it on one and we use it more than we thought we would.

Easy to set up Easy to use. We bought a Samsung TV three years ago and found the Samsung controller clunky and slow. We replaced it with a ROKU unit and have enjoyed this unit. I have both the Streaming Stick and the Streaming Stick+. Only pushback is that the Streaming Stick should include a HDMI extender cable, in the box, for those who mount flat on the wall. ROKU offers the cable, for free, but you have to order it online. I tried to order one today and the cables are out of stock. I bought a VIZIO sound bar which included every possible cable in the box. Thank you VIZIO, ROKU take a lesson.

I have always had a roku player. Recently, I had my Roku 1 quit streaming Netflix. Knowing that I was probably going to have to purchase a new streaming device, I chose to stay with Roku. Roku players are reliable and this version is FAST. I can't say this enought. This is faster than my google chrome and firestick. Love that I can control the TV power and volume as well. The Roku channel is a great feature as well. Keep up the good job guys!

I have been using Roku devices for many years. In the past, there was always a few glitches here and there that would show up while using them. This started showing major improvement with the Roku 3 that I purchased and then last with the model 3600 streaming stick. Now the hardware is not only fast in the menus but reliable and stable as well. Picture quality is as good as any streaming device I have owned and I have used many. The new remote control with voice, TV power and volume controls are a great upgrade from the 3600 model streaming stick. I can now watch TV with one remote control and that is very handy. If I could change anything it would be the integration of a TV guide type of application, such as the TV app on the Apple TV. There is a version of this on the remote app, but it is not as detailed as the version I have used on Apple TV. It would be nice to have this type of thing visible on the device and not just on the app. I suspect Roku will create something like this in the future. They are a responsive company that cares about the customer experience. What makes this a 5-star device though is the quality matched with the price. The closest competitor is a Fire TV, but they push you more toward the Amazon content while Roku is content agnostic with all but iTunes available to access. The menus are prettier on Fire TV, but the simplicity of access better on the Roku. I would argue that the quality and stability of the software is better as well. Overall this is a great device that gives you 4K without breaking your budget to do so. The fact that it does all of this with a simplistic and reliable platform makes it even better.

It is a lot faster and the menus are easier to read. Great device, the only issue I have is that I did not read the specs well enough to understand that the volume control will not work on external sound devices that are NOT controlled by the TV set.. Not a show stopper but a feature I really would like to have.

I bought the Streaming Stick plus for my new 65” smart tv. The set up was easy and it works. I love not having the clutter or boxes & receivers around the tv. This thing plugs into the back, can be powered by a USB port, also on the back of the tv so it is great. This is my second Roku. I cut the cable cord over a year ago and haven't looked back since.

My order arrived sooner than expected great.I like how it's self contained you have two options i have the stick n the HDMI port and plugged n the ubs port.If your set doesn't have the juice plug in2 wall outlet.Perfect i just have1wire n the outlet.
