When I cut the cord a few years ago, I bought a chromecast. Recently purchased Roku so that I could stream Amazon content. The streaming is of a much higher quality and the app reliability seems better as well. I also enjoy having a remote as opposed to having to use my phone as a remote. Great product

I have them all... competor products.... all 4k capable, but nothing beats the Roku Stick+ for on the go... 4k HDR with Dual band Mimo.. reliable and fast wireless networking. I have a travel router capable of dual band mimo, so if the hotel doesn't support dual band, I use my own router. Works with every hotel TV I have tried with the only exceptions being the hotel TVs locked down to prevent the use of their HDMI ports. Works at friends houses... and works at home. The sheer number of channels supported and streaming partners... wow.

You can't just assume that a Roku that you buy off the shelf has all of the apps you will want. I wasted my time to find that this items does have DirectTV capability, though this "channel" has been out for a year. Also note that the adapter that you may need to use this item is free by mail, but not included. Though Roku is the benchmark of the market, I have found these two drawbacks to be bushleague.

This is my fourth Roku device over the past 5 years. The Streaming Stick+ continues the evolution of adding very useful features as well as having the most services and applications. Performance is a nice improvement over the original Streaming Stick, and is perfect for traveling and using in hotels while I am on the road with the ability to login into hotel WiFi networks. My daughter uses my older Streaming Stick in college and finds it works well and is easy to use with great picture quality.

I love the Roku with the exception of the volume quality when watching free movies. I literally have to jack up the volume on my TV in order to hear the movies I'm watching. And then when there is a commercial or a break in the program, I'm blasted with volume. I hope there is a fix for this.

OK, I'm reviewing the Roku Stick. It is soooo good to be back in the stream. The last Roku product I bought and used was the Roku Express. It required an extra step to stream to my Videowave. Not this one! Boom...straight to the stream! I have really missed the programming lately and an now catching up. Social distancing? Yep, I've been at that one for months. Stay safe and stream! We purchased the Roku little over a month ago. Have no idea why we waited so long. It's awesome! We are watching shows that we used to watch all the time, movies we forgot about, just an all around great tv watching experience. Can't wait to get rid of cable for good.

We had our Roku 2 for 3 years. When I noticed directv now was freezing on us, I hopped on message boards and found it was probably due to our old device. I started looking for a new roku device and was so excited to see this had volume and power buttons! We would juggle 3 remotes at a time. Upon setting up I was absolutely blown away! The picture quality is so much better! I didn't even know ours was lacking until we got the new roku!

I bought this for my summer home so I could use sling player. My regular Roku works very well with sling player. When setting up the stick, it could not connect to my Sling. I manually added it per instructions and it still did not work with Sling. Other apps are great, it just doesn't do what I bought it to do.

Overall I like it very much - but the only reason I bought it was that the old quit working. However this one will NOT allow us to add the Hallmark channel... Since I cannot reach a real person at neither Hallmark nor Roku - I am at a standstill?? Can someone help without sending me to online FAQ's ? Very frustrating!
