Bought this two weeks ago. The “stick” didn't fit in my tv so I had to go back out and buy an adaptor. The free movies with commercials options are laughable and you have to search through hundreds of movies to find anything over 50% on rotten tomatoes that isn't from the ‘60s. I tried to play a movie yesterday through sony's free app. It would get to 30 minutes in then automatically start a different movie. After trying to watch past the mysterious switching point twice, I just gave up. Back to me ol tried and true swashbuckling ways.

I like the new on-off and volume control, but the stick did not link properly with my online account for Acorn TV--and I had to work with Acorn directly to work around the issue. Biggest issue was I did not realize the device was not capable of using my highest speed (5g) and would only pick up my lower speed (2.4g) although the stand alone tv worked with the 5g.

I bought a tv that claimed to be smart, but its not,it has a horrible interface, and a clumsy remote, it also has a walled garden for apps and a limited selection that doesn't include amazon, prompting my Roku purchase. Nice! Great picture, handles all the steaming services and you don't have to point the remote at the tv, also the remote is simple and the interface is fast and easy to navigate. Only con is that the voice controls should be able to fill out search bars because the typing is tedious.

I had no trouble installing the stick and it gives me a great picture and fast responses. The thing I'm less crazy about is the interface. Audio starts up without my say-so, advertising shows that I have no desire to watch. Calm it down a bit! I'm also not nuts about the giant tiles that have replaced the smaller ones of my watchlist-- i have to scroll more. Why does everything have to be billboard size? Leave ma alone. I know what I want to watch. It's like a new puppy, it wants so much attention. And why did it load every channel? I just want to see the ones I want, that I subscribe to. I had to delete a bunch!

After becoming frustrated with the rising cost of my cable bill I began to research ways I could cut my cable bill. I found roku thru reviews provided by the Cord Cutters newsletter. I especially like the ease of setup, navigation, and adding channels. I also like the feature that I can control my current TVs with just one remote. Thank you Roku in my cord cutting journey.

I just bought two streaming sticks, one for the living room and one for my room, to upgrade us from the Roku boxes. I'm so glad that I did because now we have one less cord hanging from the T.V. The voice control is awesome, press the button and say "YouTube" and it comes right up - you can even search for the YouTube channel you want using voice control. I must say I don't like having an ESPN quick button as we're not a sports family - maybe that could have been a choose-your-own channel button? Overall, we've had these streaming sticks for about a week and we're enjoying them. Oh, and the set up - quick and easy - I did both T.V.'s in less than 10 minutes!

Tried two streaming devices and Roku is far superior. Hope to soon substitute DirectTV Now for my more expensive satellite version. More and more streaming apps are available each month. The picture is great and storms don't disrupt the Roku signal.

The streamer was everything I needed. The only "flaw" I found is that is used a micro USB connection to power it which is an old standard. Why did Roku chose this type of connection? If it was for power usage wouldn't a type C be better and more suited for a technilogical advance company? I do compliment Roku for ease of setup by copying previous installs onto a new device.

I bought the "stick" because I found a TV that met all my criteria, except having a Roku built in, for a great price. It almost instantly connected to my Wi-Fi and ran the appropriate updates. Once I set the TV to allow the Roku to "drive" picture quality, 4K works extremely smooth. It's a great solution for getting what I've found to be the most reliable "smart" features on your TV.

Decided to try Roku again when the offer came for the Roku+, glad I did. First essay into no cable TV was with Roku entry level, then Amazon Firestick and this new Roku has them beat. Quicker response, clearer picture resolution, less buffering even on DirectNOW, fast refresh, all pluses.Even the remote is easy to hold and use. Only one drawback- Spotify is barely operational and hopefully that will soon be fixed.
