We used to have an Insignia-Roku TV designed for streaming. It was a 29 inch but it worked. My sister in law just gave us her 50 inch Samsung TV. Connected the PS4 just fine. However the TV/Smart Hub would not connect to our network, even after inputting info manually. Then I thought to myself hmmm, why don't I just try a Roku stick.? I decided to get the stick with the additional part for long range wireless. BOOM 20 minutes later not only was it installed and and set up, every app from the prior account/Roku TV was downloaded. I didn't have to go search one by one and re download. Works great, easy to install, super happy!

They should rename this to the battery killer. Within 1 week the thing has gone through two sets of batteries. I have had some remotes I use every single day and have not changed the batteries in years. I have a few other roku players in the house and they are far better with less features. The best part is the streaming stick can not be controlled with a universal remote. So now I have to use my phone. Do not buy this particular device if you want to be able to use the remote, and the remote was the only reason we bought it because it can turn the TV on and off. The other roku products work just fine and are a much better investment

The streaming stick with very easy to set up on my TV. The only problem I found with it is the remote does not power my TV on or off and it does not increase or decrease my volume. The streaming device told me that it would not be able to control my volume. Is this common?

I had a for more than a year. This a good product it is small and easy to setup. Overheating is the main issue I have during summer time. My Samsung TV use a smart box for connection which is mean to hide all the wire underneath the TV, but with the Roku stick it get over heating warning after 2 hours of uses if the indoor temperature is reaches around 70-75 F.

I bought this product in August 2020. It doesn't get used very often. The remote uses two AAA alkaline batteries; I buy Duracell brand. There's no switch to turn the remote on or off. As a result it seems to be always on. I have to replace them every 2-3 weeks! The only alternative is to remove them after each use.

I bought this product 2 days ago. From the very beginning it would loose signal every 3-4 minutes. I have great WiFi reception so it's not my internet. I had a Roku from 5 years ago and this ones worse. Sending back to amazon and getting a Fire stick.

I received this as a gift to replace my old and struggling first generation Roku and it's awesome, nothing beats FREE television, I do have subscriptions for to a couple channels but there's a ton of free stuff out there, being able to connect to Amazon music is cool too. I've used it on a TV upstairs, far away from the WiFi router and it also works wonderfully, easy to set up and the volume feature on the remote is fabulous. Good job guys, keep up the great work!

I've been using my SS+ for over a year now and can say that it works great, when the remote works. Since the remote doesn't use direct IR it has to connect to your wifi to connect to the SS+. If I'm running a network heavy game, I lose this remote's connection, which happens a lot. There are times when I can't connect it at all and have to use my phone as a remote. When that happens I have to restart my router, the SS+, and the remote (remove/reinsert batteries). I recommend looking at a different Roku device if you are a heavy streaming/gaming user.

Works well overall, though the remote isn't totally functional w/ the Vizio TV...turning power on/off is sketchy at times and no way to access the TV's menu commands. Getting rid of the headphone jack on the remote was a big mistake I think. It would also be great if Roku could transfer all my sign in information to each new Roku devise I purchase rather than me having to re-enter it on each devise.

I bought the Roku stick+ as I own the Ultra in another room. It signed me out of all my apps on the Ultra. It also Moved all the apps I had on the Ultra around. I wasted over an hour resetting my Ultra and my new stick+. There is NO customer support available. A waste of time. Sticking with Apple TV.
