They should rename this to the battery killer. Within 1 week the thing has gone through two sets of batteries. I have had some remotes I use every single day and have not changed the batteries in years. I have a few other roku players in the house and they are far better with less features. The best part is the streaming stick can not be controlled with a universal remote. So now I have to use my phone. Do not buy this particular device if you want to be able to use the remote, and the remote was the only reason we bought it because it can turn the TV on and off. The other roku products work just fine and are a much better investment

I bought this for my son as a Christmas gift. I thought the HD/4K/HDR meant it would work on his HD tv. It doesn't. After he couldn't get it to connect to his tv, he saw small print on the side, that it only works on 4K tv's. He called to see about exchanging it for a Roku Express, but was told there are no returns on open packages. I realize that I should have gotten more info before I bought it, but this policy sucks, and HD/4K/HDR doesn't mean HD and 4K and HDR should be printed on the front of the box.

We used to have an Insignia-Roku TV designed for streaming. It was a 29 inch but it worked. My sister in law just gave us her 50 inch Samsung TV. Connected the PS4 just fine. However the TV/Smart Hub would not connect to our network, even after inputting info manually. Then I thought to myself hmmm, why don't I just try a Roku stick.? I decided to get the stick with the additional part for long range wireless. BOOM 20 minutes later not only was it installed and and set up, every app from the prior account/Roku TV was downloaded. I didn't have to go search one by one and re download. Works great, easy to install, super happy!

This is a known problem and Roku appears to be doing nothing about it. When my first Roku Stick failed to find my WiFi, I replaced it with a new one after trying all of things you do to get the Roku to work again. The new one worked great for 1 month and I had the same issue. My WiFi network was invisible to it. I reset the device to factory settings and that appeared to work for a couple of weeks and I got the same error again. I tried to reset to factory defaults again and that did not work. The device is shot. This is not my WiFi network it is Roku. I suspect they have made some software updates and have completely screwed things up. I have an very old Roku2 and a Roku TV. Both of those work fine. It is not my WiFi network. Read other comments. They know it's a problem and do nothing. After many years of using Roku, I am extremely dissatisfied.

I have had two of these, in the last 8 months, the first kept rejecting the HDMI ports, then posted a “your Roku device is over heating” on the screen. This was replaced by the manufacturer; the replacement unit worked fine for a few months, but now the picture constantly flickers. I've gone back to using the Roku 3
