Excellence

The available options are superior. Predetermined measurements of coffee does make the brew a little bitter, but can be adjusted manually. The clean water tower doesn't drain completely, but can be poured out without issue- recommend improvement. Handle on glass carafe is slightly off center. Overall 4 stars out of 5.

Buyer Beware—stops making full pot & leaks

My husband and I bought this to make specialty coffees and to have something fun to make our coffee in. I wanted to love this sooo bad! We drink A LOT of coffee (1.5 pots a day) plus iced coffee or espressos. In 5 months the coffee pot stopped making a full pot of coffee and left 2-3 cups in the reservoir (like the other reviews said). The reservoir also started to leak water where it sits on the coffee maker, leaving water everywhere! I don’t know if it was a fluke, but we had to end up sending it back. Luckily, Sams club provides a 1 year warranty, so we were covered. Buyer beware, I didn’t listen to the reviews.

Exceeds expectations

What we needed was a coffee maker to make a pot in the morning on a timer then turn itself off and single cups in the afternoon. This one machine takes the place of two. Having frothy milk adds some fun and the whisk is easy to clean. Love being able to choose brew strength. We use paper filters just for the extra convenience. Love the water reservoir and not having to fill it for each use. Oh, and yes, makes a good tasting cup of coffee. Rather than expensive k-cups we purchase better quality grounds.

Not working perfectly

I bought a ninja coffee maker and I had no luck since it arrived it never worked perfectly but I kept using it but it has reached a stage where I can't pass a cup of coffee if I don't press the water button 10 times and it is very expensive I'm unable to buy a new one and I like it very much I even pointed it out to my friend and hers works perfect and mine doesn't want to know if they can do something to help me?

I love Ninja products, not this one...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several Shark-Ninja products at home. I have never been disappointed in how they work, or how they look, until now. I've had this "Ninja Coffee Bar Glass Carafe System CF090" for several weeks now, and have only just now been able to get it to work. I even had to call customer service to get some idea if it was my fault, that perhaps I wasn't doing something correctly. I followed all the directions to set it up, just like I always do with a new and unfamiliar appliance or tool. After following all the added suggestions of the person at customer service, I finally put it through a cleaning cycle, as he suggested. That only added to my disgust with this product, as this was a brand new out of the box appliance. Why should I have to put it through an intense cleaning cycle before I could get it to work properly? It's supposed to know how much water to draw from it's reservoir, after you choose size and type of brewing you want to match with the mug or carafe you are using. Nope! No matter how I set it, it wanted to draw all the water out. It's finally working, although I don't trust it enough to walk away while it's brewing, only to come back and find coffee all over the kitchen! About the only part of this machine I do like is the frother. However, I can't see spending $$ just for a fancy frother. The other thing is that it is labor intensive to clean. Much more work that is necessary for a single cup of coffee. I think I'll just go back to my standard coffee maker, until I do more research and find a Specialty Coffee Maker that is easy to use and clean.
