Great coffee maker for coffee lovers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even though I did not have enough time to test every recipe it is very impressive coffee maker. I only use to make classic coffee for right now. It is very simple to use even though at first glance it does have a lot buttons but once you check out it is very simple to use. The coffee taste is great because I always use rich brew setting. It comes with booklet that contains 10 coffee house style recipes. It is very clever idea of integrated frother that swings back inside when not in use, but it would be even better if can heat up milk instead of using microwave first (according to directions from their booklet). Preparing brand new coffee maker is procedure that requires you run the clean cycle two times before you can use it. One hour to run the water through, and about 8 to 10 minutes at least to flush the system and then again repeat same thing as calling priming Ninja Bar system. After that you are set to use. Ninja Coffee Bar system is very tall machine about 15 inches in height so make sure you have enough room for this unit especially because at top of coffee maker there are steam holes that need even more room to release extremely hot air. Overall it is very nicely made design compare to how many different functions can be used with different parts retracting in and out.
I love Ninja products, not this one...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several Shark-Ninja products at home. I have never been disappointed in how they work, or how they look, until now. I've had this "Ninja Coffee Bar Glass Carafe System CF090" for several weeks now, and have only just now been able to get it to work. I even had to call customer service to get some idea if it was my fault, that perhaps I wasn't doing something correctly. I followed all the directions to set it up, just like I always do with a new and unfamiliar appliance or tool. After following all the added suggestions of the person at customer service, I finally put it through a cleaning cycle, as he suggested. That only added to my disgust with this product, as this was a brand new out of the box appliance. Why should I have to put it through an intense cleaning cycle before I could get it to work properly? It's supposed to know how much water to draw from it's reservoir, after you choose size and type of brewing you want to match with the mug or carafe you are using. Nope! No matter how I set it, it wanted to draw all the water out. It's finally working, although I don't trust it enough to walk away while it's brewing, only to come back and find coffee all over the kitchen! About the only part of this machine I do like is the frother. However, I can't see spending $$ just for a fancy frother. The other thing is that it is labor intensive to clean. Much more work that is necessary for a single cup of coffee. I think I'll just go back to my standard coffee maker, until I do more research and find a Specialty Coffee Maker that is easy to use and clean.
Too Cool Not to Have This in Your Kitchen!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, I want to be clear that the only coffee pots that I've ever had have all been simple with maybe the added feature of being able to program a timer. So, after reading my instruction manual I commenced to washing the carafe and other components as instructed, set the time (so simple) added a filter and coffee using the included scoop which I must say is very handy and tucked right onto the side of the machine. I selected the amount of coffee for the machine to make, added the appropriate amount of water to the reservoir pushed the power button, (there are multiple choices for your comfort level, cup, XL cup, 1/2 carafe, full carafe and even a travel mug option) and then chose how I wanted my coffee to taste (I chose classic for starters) First pot was a little strong so I reduced the coffee for the next pot and it was perfect! I had never had frothed milk in coffee before until this machine. My husband ventured for this and made us each a cup of coffee with frothed milk using the built in frother (again, tucked neatly on the side of the machine until ready for use, see picture below) We are still experimenting with Ninja Coffee bar and are finding unending ways to mix and blend coffees plus using the enclosed recipes that came with the machine. This machine is very easy to use, easy to clean, easy to set up and is very attractive on my counter top. The instruction book is easy to follow and the recipes included are very good.
Amazing iced coffee
I have had this for about 6 months and I love it. I have had no trouble with the clean indicator light. The coffee tastes way better than my Kureig ever did (which constantly stopped working). Biggest surprise was the ice coffee feature. I figured it was just going to make watered down coffee and I’d never use the function, but the iced coffee is amazing. I use Starbucks grounds and it’s seriously better than going out for coffee. Hope this thing lasts for years, at the price point, but it’s totally worth it.
Great Coffee every time! So many features
I purchased this model Ninja Coffee Bar (CF090A) in November 2016. Everyone was pleased with it. Loved the hot coffee, iced coffee, all the features, everything about it. About 1 month after I got it the cleaning light came on. No problem; I cleaned it. Two weeks later the cleaning light came on again. Now mind you, I use nothing but reverse osmosis water. Nothing from the tap. I ignored the cleaning light until it was time for me to clean it again. The light wouldn't shut off. It worked for a long time and I cleaned it on a regular basis. Then suddenly, it quit working. A quarter cup of coffee would come out and then stop. I cleaned it, but it would only drip a little out and quit. How grateful I am I purchased the warranty from SquareTrade! I went to their site and submitted a ticket. The next day I received an answer that they would get back to me promptly. About two hours later they asked me to sign a paper saying it was not working, etc. and they would refund the money. I will buy a new one! They said that I should have it within five days. Talk about wonderful service. It pays to purchase the extra warranty! I just wish I would have done that with my daughters! Some people think that if a piece of equipment breaks they will never buy another of that kind. Well, in this case I will have another Ninja because it is an excellent machine. Obviously there is something wrong with certain models. I've had two Keurigs go out on me and I still purchased the last one. (Until the Ninja!) I even have a Cuisinart one-cup that I like. But, the Ninja does sooooooooo many things and we have enjoyed it. Thank you SquareTrade for allowing me to purchase the warranty through Sam's Club, and backing your service! Nancy S.
Buyer Beware!
This was a great coffee bar and did everything we wanted it to....THEN 1.) the CLEAN light came on after 2 or 3 weeks. We would clean it and clean it but the light wouldn't go out. 2.) it stopped brewing full pots after about 3 months. You have to stand there and keep pushing the button to turn it back on. 3.) It won't even brew one cup without shutting off. I tried to do some research and found hundreds of complaints on their Facebook page of the same issues. I tried multiple suggestions to no avail. For as much as this thing cost, it should definitely have a longer lifespan.
BEST EASY TO USE COFFEE MAKER AND COFFEE
This coffee maker is hard to find in stores. All other stores have last years models. This one has 6 Brew Size Settings: Cup, Large Cup, Travel Mug, Large Travel Mug, Half Carafe, Full Carafe. I have about 6 different coffee makers from Expresso, cappuchino, to 3 different Keurig machines, and this is by far the easiest and best of all of them. I use the first Travel Mug setting (16oz) size. The temperature is 119- 200 degrees after adding Half & Half in a ceramic room temperature mug. I use 3 1/2 small scoop size per mug. The basket is easy to clean. Just rinse it out in the sink and rinse its holder out. No fussing with spoons to measure coffee or fit measured coffee into a small holder(like Keurig adapters). Measurer that comes with Ninja doesn't hold coffee in it. No static electricity, all coffee comes out of measurer. Just shake Ninja's Spoon in your coffee bag to get rid of excess coffee you have on spoon. Perfect measurement every time. I noticed something most coffee makers do not have. When brewing cups or travel mugs, not carafe, the water is held with the coffee to steep it like a French Press, before it goes into the mug making a better cup of coffee. When in Carafe Mode the maker is just a drip through coffee maker. The Cone Shaped(included filter) is a breeze to clean. One note of CAUTION! When set on Clean, the coffee maker will use all water in reservewa. I tried adding water when container was halfway through 1st cleaning cycle and Hot Water flow did Not Stop or reset for 2nd cleaning cycle. Water all over counter and it is HOT!!!. REMEMBER! ALL WATER IS USED IN CLEANING CYCLE NON-STOP!!! This coffee maker comes with a Glass Carafe, An Ice Over Pitcher, and the Built in Milk Frother. Hot plate only comes on in the Carafe Modes not Cup or Mug Modes. Machine is not deep so you can put Carafe and Ice Pitcher behind it on the counter. For this latest model make sure it has 6 settings on the Dial. Sam's Club has it on Sale for $129.00. Hope sale is still on for you. Has clock to set wakeup brewing time and stay warm timer. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY MONETARY OR PERKS FOR THIS REVIEW. I can just say, "What a relief to get a strong, hot, cup of coffee with minimum preparation and cleanup." Get it! You won't be sorry with this latest model. Eddy, Fishkill, NY
Best coffee maker ever owned, hands down!!
I received this item as a gift for christmas this past year, and I love it!! It is SO easy to set up, the instructions are really easy. It has as I like to call “dummy proof” steps to set up a delay brew for the next morning. I absolutely LOVE how hot it keeps my coffee, having an automatic shut off is helpful for me since I always forget to shut it off. I also use a ton of refrigerated creamer, so it tends to cool my coffee enough to the point that I have to reheat it, but not with this coffee maker!! The brewing time is amazingly fast as well, it takes just a couple of minutes and it’s hot as can be! Over all this is the best coffee maker I have ever owned hands down, and I would definitely recommend for sure!!
Great features, but one major flaw.
I have had my Ninja coffee bar for just over a year now and I've been very careful about cleaning it on a regular basis. It started leaking from the bottom of the reservoir and the hole into which the water goes. My very latest attempt to run the cleaning cycle has failed miserably and I have water all over the place. If not for this problem, the Ninja coffee bar would be great. Mine is not the only one to do this, apparently it is a widespread problem. I just wish I had done my research before we spent all that money on this one.
Star of our New Coffee Bar
This coffee maker is well designed and well made (see the pics I attached of the product). It also looks great on any countertop. The frothing mechanism swings out for ease of use but easily folds out of the way. It is the same with the single cup mechanism. To fill the water reservoir, one can flip up the lid or easily remove it to fill up straight from a refrigerator water filter (this is how I choose to do this). It is also a breeze to clean. One can choose a classic taste or rich brew just with a push of the right button. (I like the rich brew when adding lots of milk or chocolate, but not when drinking straight). Also, if you want to remove the carafe and pour a cup before the coffee is finished brewing, just flip a switch to stop the drip. No mess, no fuss. You can easily choose how much coffee to make just by turning a knob, which lights your choice. Overall I am not disappointed. My coffee tastes better than when using my old machine. Weird, I know. Now for the reasons I gave the item 4 instead of 5 stars. The frothing mechanism, while great, does not heat the milk. Also, you cannot make espresso using this machine. I guess for the price, I would have expected this. Bottom line though, my wife liked this so much she created a new coffee bar around this.
