Please- bring back the old formula!

I used Humectress conditioner for over twenty years, and I was so disappointed when the formula changed. It was the best stuff ever, and I didn't mind paying a little extra for it. The new formula feels slimy in my hair and is hard to rinse out, but then my fine hair is still tangled and hard to comb... (It reminds me of a cheap drugstore conditioner!) I bought as many bottles of the old stuff as I could find, but now I am on the search for a product that is similar to the old Humectress. Needless to say, I'm wasting a lot money trying all these new things. Does Nexxus make another product that is similar to the old Humectress????

Didn't work for me

I did not like this conditioner at all. It did smell nice and did not weigh my hair down but did not do anything in the way of hydrating it, even if I used a lot. However, my hair felt like it was coated with something. It was very expensive and doesn't perform any better than cheap drugstore products. I do not know how people like this stuff.

Bring Back the Original Humectress!

I have been using Humectress for years - it helped condition my fine, graying hair. I recently had to purchase the "improved" Humectress and do not like it at all. The fragrance is much too strong, and the product itself is nothing like the original. I agree with the other reviews - bring back the original product!!!

Wish it hadn't changed...

It's so disappointing that they changed this product. My mom introduced me to humectress when I was young. We both loved it. We used it on our dry ends and as a conditioner if our hair felt really dried out - like during swimming season. I've never found anything that worked the same. I don't like the smell of this now and it doesn't work even close to as well as the original.

Why Get Rid of a Great Thing - This Can't Compare

Humectin was the best product Nexxus has ever created. This new line feels silky in the shower, but as someone with frizzier hair, it cannot compare once out of the shower. My hair is less silky and more frizzy out of the shower. Humectin was AMAZING, I had mostly good days with that product. I will not be replacing it with the new Humectress. RIP AND this stuff is too scented - overkill.

New Scent is Terrible

I used the old formula of Humectress for my daily conditioner and as a leave-in conditioner for years (it was great to reduce frizzies). It was the best product I ever used on my hair, and I loved it. It has since been reformulated to include coconut oil and now has an overwhelmingly sweet, almost sugary coconut smell. For those who really like coconut, this may be great. Unfortunately I can no longer use the product as I am allergic to the new scent.

The formula changed?!?? WHY??

I have long (below my butt), straight, natural blonde hair. I have used Therappe & Humectress to keep it healthy for over 20 years. I bought a new bottle of Humectress this week. At first, I was puzzled, because this stuff did not have the characteristic smell that Humectress normally does. After my hair dried, I noticed that my hair was frizzy and somewhat stiff, sort of like what high humidity does to some people's hair. I also noted that I could not easily comb out my wet hair; it was quite tangled. Normally, Humectress makes my hair soft, smooth & shiny, and easy to comb. Hmmm… odd… Then I read the bottle!! They CHANGED THE FORMULA!! How can they change the formula so drastically and still call it "Humectress"?? This stuff is NOT Humectress. It needs its very own name, and I want my original Humectress back!! In addition, Nexxus actually put animal parts in this product: this new formula has FISH EGGS in it!! (Fine, call it 'caviar' if it makes you feel better. It's still fish eggs…) In any case, since it no longer does a nice job on my hair, I'll be unhappily looking for a new product.

Terrible

I have been using the Nexxus Humectress shampoo and conditioner for years and it has always worked great for me. The store no longer carries it and now has this caviar formula. I puchased a large bottle for $39 and it's the worst conditioner ever. After using it for a few days my hair has been getting worse by the day. Tons of tangles and frizz.

Previous version MUCH BETTER

I've used Humectress since 1985. Its changed a fee times this latest caviar version Does not work! I too get blood shot eyes, itchy ears and redness around my neck and shoulders there is some ingredient whether its fragrance, dye not sure but its there. My main complaint is it just isn't working on my hair. Its dry and looks like its stripping my color? I am going to try the Emergecee line today but from the smell I bet I get an allergy too! Please bring back your previous version otherwise i will be going back to Redken or JPM line. Sorry!

Waaay overrated and over priced!

It did make my hair look and feel nice, but before the end of the day it kinda went limp...aaand every time I used it, my eyes were so red ...for the rest of the day! Visine wouldn't even take the red out! Everyone was asking me why my eyes were so red..When I stopped using it, my eyes were fine. I'm not sure which ingredient causes it, but now I have one whole bottle of Therappe and one whole bottle of Humectress that I will never use...both 33.8 oz. UGH!!... Tried much better priced Herbal Essence Naked Volume Shampoo with HE Naked Moisturizing Conditioner....LOVE THEM and hair looks and feels great all day!
