The replacement filters are affordable. Been using Brita products for many years, and the high quality is always consistent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To make a long story short, we ended up with a non-Brita filter to use in our water pitcher. Right a way there was an issue with the water running around the filter. And what water did go through the filter went through much faster than our usual Brita, telling me that it wasn't filtering very effectively. Then the water just didn't have the same fresh taste as with the Brita filter. We threw away the off brand and went back to Brita in less than a week, so it ended up costing us more money.

Costco offers a 10 pack of filters at a great stock up price. Brita works great for our household at a great price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Brita filters since my mom learned about it in 1997. Since then, we've gone from both pitchers to attached sink filters. You can clearly taste the difference between other bottled water and tap water. The lifespan lasts very long and available at every grocery store. It's great to know I'm saving the environment and drinking to better health.

We would like to know if anything concerning your standard (Model OB03) water filters has changed. We have been using you filters for years even though our town's central water system improved and monitored by the EPA is doing well. We could easily use one of your filters for at least 2 months without any problems. Now we are lucky to get a month or less out of one. Our supply water has 0% of arsenic, iron and other minerals and our usage is normally 6 8 oz cups per day that we filter. It seems the price of your filters has increased but the quality has decreased. If we are doing something wrong please let us know as we strictly follow the directions of install for the filters. I finally decided it was worth it to get a Brita and these filters are making my disgusting tap water taste amazing. No issues so far and I'm so glad I decided to switch to Brita.

The only channel to recycle used filters is Brita's partner, TeraCycle. I just learned that there's a several-month waiting list to join their recycling program. I have a stockpile of a dozen of these filters. I will wait, but, I suspect there are tons of these filters going to landfills. May be better to jus drink the tap water.
