[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BUT MUCH better. It tastes like water should. No weird after taste that you get from a faucet OR bottle. This filter works with a bunch of different pitchers. I've bought a bunch at thrift stores so no pitcher i own is the same.

It's nice to be able to just take off the lid of the water dispenser, pull the old filter out, rinse off the new filter and pop it back in the dispenser. I've used over brands that require more time spent prepping the new filter for use and find that it makes it easier to put off replacement.

The only problem I've had is with the small carbon pellets escaping out of the top of it, but it usually only happens if I pour some of the filtered water out while there is still unfiltered water in the top section.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The simplicity of the Brita design amazes me each day I fill up the pitcher; the perfect fit and full-proof alignment allows one to replace the filter in pitch dark. Not a feature to be dismissed. Other brands on the market that emulate the shape don't have the details right and this is one reason I remain brand loyal to Brita. I do wish they'd produce a range of glass, preferably hand blown glass pitchers to match my Chemix coffee carafe.

It makes our water taste SO good! I don't even like other water now. I'm spoiled due to Brita. I love the little plastic thing that tells me when it's time to change it out, too! That type of genius change lets me know you were really thinking about your customers. This makes it simple & I will remain a loyal customer, since I don't have to change out or throw out my old filters when I purchase new pitchers. I convinced an elderly friend of how simple it would be to use your pitchers instead of having water delivered. I bought her two pitchers, 1 for the refrigerator & 1 to sit on her counter. She was extremely happy w/ your pitchers, the ease of using the filters & most of all the water taste great. No more waiting for a delivery person that has been showing up late anymore, she cancelled her water delivery & saved some money. Enough of me going on & on. But I truly do mean every word. Also, love the new filters design & not having to soak them.

Before taking the time to write this, I did a little research and learned that 8.8 million metric tons of plastic waste enters the ocean from coastal communities each year (Wikipedia: Plastic Pollution). That's a lot of plastic being thrown into our oceans. Furthermore, "The chemical structure of most plastics renders them resistant to many natural processes of degradation..." Wherever I go, plastic bottles containing drinking water abound; "For sale" in grocery stores, drug stores, big box stores, sports events, movie theatres, etc. My question to you: instead of buying bottles of water, why not buy a filtration system of your own and fill your own drinking containers? You'll save money in the long run, and cut down on plastic waste at the same time. My Brita filter sits on my kitchen counter. I change the filter every couple of months. It's simple and "green." By continuing to buy bottled water, we, the consumers, “demand" that the "suppliers" continue to produce the the 380 million tons of plastic produced annually. Supply and Demand at work. I am wondering whether or not to buy a large pack or not. With a large pack, I have a ready back-up, and I do not have to run out and but one.
