Great Steaks... Best part they are halal..

We don't usually buy NY strip, but tried these on a whim. Used simple olive oil spray coating and just generous application of salt/pepper on both sides. Let them sit for about 30 minutes to bring internal temp up before cooking. I did slightly tenderize with a mallet. Seared them on a super hot cast iron skillet for three minutes each side. Then, a pad of salted butter to melt on top to finish. Let them rest for five minutes before digging in. Tender and flavorful!
