i had bought this tape before i read the reviews. the tape is great, i realy like the fact that after you tear off what you need the little pads on eithor side of the despenser lets the tape rest on it so they don't stick back on the roll and you don't waste tape by having to fold a piece over the end. it is a little bit of a hassle to figure out just how to store it but i have a small basket that i put it in along with my other tape.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape is strong. It holds up well. I used it to pack up a box of goodies to send to family out of town. It went on easily and the dispenser cut it cleanly and easily. My only complaint is it was extremely difficult to get started, or even find the beginning. It appears they tried to make this easy after I managed to get it, but it could be better. I would definitely get this again, however.

One of the biggest headaches for shipping a box, is knowing whether the tape you've used is going to survive the "box kickers" during its transit. With some super sticky backing, and strong base, I dare say this tape could even withstand a trip around the world, during the holidays, without having to worry about its ability to survive! Scotch, what did you do to your "tape"?! It won't stick to anything, let alone the box I'm trying to seal. I've used your tape in the past without an issue. Should have had a recall. (no receipt though, never thought I'd need to take you up on your guarantee)

The dispenser makes it convenient to cut and keeps the tape from getting twisted. Also, it makes it very easy to find the end of the roll.
