My company has been using this tape exclusively for years - tens of thousands of packages shipped - and loved the small size, ease of use and quality of what this tape USED to be. Over the past few months, the tape changed - it now says "40 times stronger" and feels very different (thinner and slicker), which would be fine except that when the "new" tape is used on standard kraft shipping boxes it doesn't stay stuck!!! Really 3M? What the heck good is shipping tape that comes untaped on its own from shipping boxes??? Extremely disappointed in the changes to this product and that we are going to have to switch to another type of tape.

I have used it on several different boxes, one which had a heavy item inside and was shipping via a shipping company. I was very happy with how the tape went onto the package and how heavy the tape felt compared to my normal packaging tape. It was much more sturdy and adhered much better. The dispenser is very easy to use and it allows for a smooth cut when using the tape. Very happy and pleased with this heavy duty tape.

It took several minutes and a good pair of readers to get the tape started off the roll. I soon realized when trying to stretch the tape out, that the grippers on the tape dispenser are located too close to the tape roll. Pinching and gripping in the designated spots seem to inhibit the roll of tape to spin. Just a design flaw.

It is easy to use, you can do it one handed, and once they are taped they don't come open until you cut them open. I have used the tape to repair things like a broken center pole on my Christmas tree, that was several years ago and it is still holding. I also ship on Ebay and use this tape to close the boxes and tape on the labels. I tape over the address section of the labels so they do not smear if they get wet plus it closes those boxes tightly and they do not come open during mailing. In a pinch, I have also cut small strips and used it to tape wrapping paper on Christmas presents. I can use the dispenser one handed leaving my other hand free to hold the package or item being taped in place. I would recommend this tape and dispenser to anyone requiring the use of a packaging tape.

I use this tape regularly and wont buy it again as I have had poor adhesion on boxes . I purchase new boxes and I make them use them and a week later the tape is curled up and completely seperated from the cardboard . The actual tape is stronger than other brands but the adhesive does not adhere to cardboard it must be some kind of enviormentally friendly garbage that does not stick . Give me some tape with chemicals that stick I dont care if its toxic I am not eating it .
