[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free from 3M. We decided to use this tape to make a cardboard castle. Since it was heavy duty, we thought it would hold up better than normal tape against the hustle and bustle of a busy castle. So far, the castle is still in one piece,and the tape is still securely in place. The tape does feel slightly thicker than regular packaging tape. Overall, we are pleased with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Scotch heavy duty tape is very nice and sturdy. The tape itself has a pretty good thickness to it and it delivers the "stickiness" to properly tape down a shipping box. The dispenser, on the other hand, needs some getting used to. The tape can be a little finicky to pull from the dispenser. But once you get the right angle, the tape rolls like a dream! What I really appreciate is the tape cutter at the end of the dispenser. The blade/cutter makes cutting a piece of tape 10x easier than having to find a pair of scissors. Overall, I am very happy with the the functionality of the product and the convenience it offers with the blade/cutter at the tip of the tape dispenser. I received a sample of this product from 3M but the opinions are of my own.

Since I already use a range of their shipping tape products, I thank them for restocking my depleted supply of their Heavy Duty. I sometimes ship items in recycled boxes that require extra bond/adhesion since the box isn't shiny and new and I find that the Heavy Duty performs great for this purpose! While I find that the dispenser that this tape comes with is great and so much lighter than the handheld tape gun, I prefer a desktop dispenser so I removed the roll from the one it comes with and use it the way I want.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Package Tape is not only good for sealing shipping containers it is also good for repairing packing boxes that are used for storing household goods or craft supplies. I use a lot of card stock in my crafting. The larger remnants are kept in cardboard boxes. Tonight I repaired two such boxes with this tape because the tape is strong enough to reinforce the weak and torn places. The reason I deducted a star from my rating is that the tape will sometimes tear where that tear is not wanted.

I am a merchandiser and deal with a lot of boxes sent to my house that need to be loaded into my car to be brought to stores. They always fall apart but after I received this tape and started to use it, I have not had any box fall apart on me since I reinforce them with the 3M Heavy Duty Shipping tape. I am sure you will not be disappointed in purchasing it.

This is my go to tape when shipping orders, that being said I hate how it's so loud compared to other tapes from the same brand . It's loud enough that I can't do any packaging at night because I'm worried it'll disturb someone . The tape itself is great!, it sticks well and doesn't budge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] when the clips that hold my cartridge on vacuum broke and dust went every where, i tape it closed to the vacuum and wall-a was back doing my cleaning and is still holding,but the nicest thing was how easy it was to stretch across and seal and tear at the point that they needed and i had three layer tape patch not just for sealing packages anymore

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping tape to review. I have used Scotch shipping tape for years. This doesn't seem a whole lot different from what I've used previously. It may be a bit thicker. I don't like the dispenser it came on however. Just too flimsy and it's hard to cut the tape with. I have a regular dispenser that I use and it works so much better. I recently moved and only used 3M tape for all the boxes I packed. There were only a couple that didn't stay closed but I can't say if that was the tape or the person who taped it. I have used other brands in the past but they were far too thin and not strong enough to keep boxes closed. I have also used this tape to get cat hair off my furniture and clothing. It works great for that!! And since it's clear (nearly invisible), I've used it to repair items as well.
