[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am used to using the packing tape so using the Heavy Duty version I can instantly tell this is a more durable tape. It feels stronger and it is stickier. I think it would last a very long time. I received this free to test and review.

My only complaint is that the tape adheres to the dispenser and is a little difficult to loosen the tape so you can pull it forward.

The Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packing Tape is definitely "heavy duty". I only had to wrap the tape around the package once and it felt strong enough to hold the package together. I did not have to wrap it more than once and I felt that it was very secure. Great product.

I use this tape regularly and wont buy it again as I have had poor adhesion on boxes . I purchase new boxes and I make them use them and a week later the tape is curled up and completely seperated from the cardboard . The actual tape is stronger than other brands but the adhesive does not adhere to cardboard it must be some kind of enviormentally friendly garbage that does not stick . Give me some tape with chemicals that stick I dont care if its toxic I am not eating it .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Packing tape was hard to find the edge, needs a strip for easier starting. Easy to use cutting edge and flexible red dispenser is easy to locate. Over all is a good packing tape. Holds well on boxes of all sizes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this tape for many years, even before 3M sent me the sample of Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape with Dispenser. It works wonderfully well to close up boxes and packages for shipping and storage. I like that I can write on it with permanent marker or ball-point pen. Postage labels adhere without difficulty. My most frequent use is for "laminating" prayer cards, recipe cards, art, and other items that I want to keep safe from continued handling and moisture. Much more cost-effective and easier to use than a laminating machine - portable, too! Can you tell that I really, really like this tape? WOW!

I have bought Scotch shipping tape for years. However, the latest roll I purchased and tried to use today is just terrible. It is SO sticky, it sticks hard to itself. I cannot get a full width piece to even get it started to use on the dispenser. It breaks off in little pieces and is next to impossible to pry off the roll. I'm so annoyed with the this roll.

It went on easily and the dispenser cut it cleanly and easily. My only complaint is it was extremely difficult to get started, or even find the beginning. It appears they tried to make this easy after I managed to get it, but it could be better. I would definitely get this again, however.
