The good and most important thing is, though, that it holds; I know it won't fall off of something easily that I need held together. It also came in very good use with sculpture-creating. Plus, it makes a very bold fashion statement to walk around wearing it. Way to go with the flow!

My company has been using this tape exclusively for years - tens of thousands of packages shipped - and loved the small size, ease of use and quality of what this tape USED to be. Over the past few months, the tape changed - it now says "40 times stronger" and feels very different (thinner and slicker), which would be fine except that when the "new" tape is used on standard kraft shipping boxes it doesn't stay stuck!!! Really 3M? What the heck good is shipping tape that comes untaped on its own from shipping boxes??? Extremely disappointed in the changes to this product and that we are going to have to switch to another type of tape.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the Scotch brand packaging tape dispenser and tape for years and I love it. It is easy to use, you can do it one handed, and once they are taped they don't come open until you cut them open. I have used the tape to repair things like a broken center pole on my Christmas tree, that was several years ago and it is still holding. I also ship on Ebay and use this tape to close the boxes and tape on the labels. I tape over the address section of the labels so they do not smear if they get wet plus it closes those boxes tightly and they do not come open during mailing. In a pinch, I have also cut small strips and used it to tape wrapping paper on Christmas presents. I can use the dispenser one handed leaving my other hand free to hold the package or item being taped in place. I would recommend this tape and dispenser to anyone requiring the use of a packaging tape.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this pack tape as a sample. I had some boxes to ship off and used this to seal the boxes and was an ease to use. The built in dispenser and cutter worked good. The cutting edge has many little teeth that allows for easy clean tears from the roll. This tape is great. I have never had any issue with 3M shipping or packing tape holding up to the rigors of shipping or moving. Having moved 10+ times in 17 years I understand the value in a high quality pack tape. Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape is the best. Even if it is a little more expensive than other tapes on the market the cost is easily justifiable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Scotch heavy duty shipping tape is wonderful. This tape is tough! It holds up well and keeps packages sealed exactly how they should be. The dispenser is very convenient and works flawlessly. I highly recommend this product.

At one time I purchased generic shipping tape only because of the high volume of shipping tape that I need and use. But the results of the generic tape were less than satisfactory and for secure hold, I would use twice as much tape. I switched to Scotch heavy duty shipping tape and now, every package is securely sealed and arrives intact without excessive tape. I am VERY pleased with the quality of the Scotch heavy duty shipping tape ~ I will never go back to generic shipping tape!
