This past Halloween, being in a time crunch, decided to use a much cheaper clear packing tape. Not surprisingly, it was nearly impossible to start the roll, and the dispenser itself was dull. We ended up using scissors to cut. Most importantly, it just would not stick! We used double the amount of tape just hoping it would work. Oh well, now we know! Scotch Rocks! We were trying to figure out a way to hold this in place. The packing tape said "heavy duty". I grabbed a piece of this from the roll and low and behold it works wonderful. Saves us having to get a whole new laptop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I find myself constantly needing to ship items but also just pack things for donation or to store or even for shipping labels I print out and there really is no better tape. I've tried other brands, off brands and they just do not work as well. Scotch heavy duty shipping tape holds well and is simple to apply. So secure too..other tapes come up or don't completely seal but scotch does the job well.

The packaging is also sturdy and provides the perfect housing for the tape that allows easy tearing. I highly recommend this tape over any other brand for shipping packages.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the Scotch brand packaging tape dispenser and tape for years and I love it. It is easy to use, you can do it one handed, and once they are taped they don't come open until you cut them open. I have used the tape to repair things like a broken center pole on my Christmas tree, that was several years ago and it is still holding. I also ship on Ebay and use this tape to close the boxes and tape on the labels. I tape over the address section of the labels so they do not smear if they get wet plus it closes those boxes tightly and they do not come open during mailing. In a pinch, I have also cut small strips and used it to tape wrapping paper on Christmas presents. I can use the dispenser one handed leaving my other hand free to hold the package or item being taped in place. I would recommend this tape and dispenser to anyone requiring the use of a packaging tape.

I needed to send a large package across the country to my brother and I used this Heavy Duty tape and it worked great ! I had no concerns that there would be any problems with shipping. I know the tape would hold and I did not need to worry that the seams or corners could come open. The built in dispenser is a wonderful feature, makes it so easy to use.
