I liked it that they got some additional nutrients but also feel like they are having a snack. The container is portable and just toss when you’re done. No mixing and ready to go. I find this to be a great option for on the go.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to drink a lot of carnation instant breakfast when I was a kid because it was fast, easy, and my parents didn't have to cook or do anything. These reminded these of that time in my life, except they were a lot tastier. It was delicious and smooth, which made it a lot better than the powder. There was now chalkiness or grittyness. I really liked it, and I only had two issues - cost and it was not as chocolaty as I would have liked.

I tried this chocolate Carnation Breakfast Essentials because it's a lot cheaper than the quick nutrition drink I've used for a long time. This is good-especially when really cold--but it's more like chocolate milk than the chocolate shake/malt the other is like. I prefer the thick, rich taste of the other, but because I go through so much of these drinks, I wonder if I should have more of this one, to save money.

I used it in a smoothie I made for myself today (I forgot to take and post a photo of it). It nice there are vitamins and nutrients in it.
