I love the eggy, tangy flavor, it's the only my mother bought, and the only one I've bought for at least 40 yrs. I live in fear that US-made Hellmann's will change it's taste (Canadian Hellmann's is awful, our local market had it once). In preparation for that possibility I have tried making my own mayonnaise but I can't find a recipe that comes close. I hope Hellmann's prevails in keeping the eggs in the term "mayonnaise."

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this fancy new bottle through Influenster to try. I love the bottle design, the precision tip and stay clean cap is great. I however am a mustard girl who married a Miracle Whip guy. While it did ok in my tuna fish, it doesn't seem to have a place on his burgers or sandwiches.

I see that many reviewers applaud the squeeze bottle, but I find the bottle less than useful: it's too stiff to dispense the mayo, the bottle's color makes it difficult to know the remaining content, and the narrow opening makes it impossible to actually empty the bottle.

Note in numerous of your responses that the product has not changed. Well, I've been using Hellmann's for over 60 years and I wholly disagree. The products consistency is far less creamy and the flavor not as robust. Please listen to us long time customers and get back to the product we were accustomed to.

It's easy to control, allows for exact product placement, and keeps the mayo in the "ready to go" position. Added bonus: the bottle does not fall over in the fridge! I have been buying Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise exclusively for 40 years. My family has been using only Hellmann's for decades longer than that. it was a staple in my family. I've never even looked at other brands. I guess we had a good run, but it's time to look elsewhere. The new formula, while not quite pourable, is far less stiff than before. The consistency used to be almost custard-like, and could stiffen up secret sauces (ketchup and mayo). Now it is runny. The flavor also seems to have less zing and be more flat tasting. Pro tip:If you like the original pre-soupy Hellmann's it seems like the jars with the plastic tamper-evident ring that breaks off when you open the jar have the good mayo. The jars without the ring that have the foil seal have the bad mayo.

There's something about Hellmann's real mayonnaise that makes any sandwich taste so much better! I've tried other varieties of mayonnaise but I just can't… Hellmann's is absolutely the best! It makes everything taste better whether it's a sandwich, potato salad or just a burger.

Hellmanns has been the only mayo for me most of my life. I don't eat sandwiches except when the tomatoes are fresh from the garden. I thought maybe it was the dill pickles making me swell and I thought maybe my mom had cooked something to upset my stomach, but I just had a tomato sandwich for brunch and now I know....it is the mayonnaise. I avoid soy in products because that doesn't seem to set well in my body so I bought the Olive Oil mayo. I will have to throw the rest of the jar away. I guess I will learn how to make my own mayo. I don't want soy oil in my food.

With the previous squeeze bottles I would still make a mess, or way too much mayo would come out at a time. With this new bottle it was super easy to control how much mayo I put on my sandwich! Same great Hellman's taste as always!
