As a kid my mother used Hellman's for the "special" recipes from cakes to chicken and salad dressing for sandwiches. I started using mustard as I thought salad dressing/mayo what was the difference! When I started cooking after I left home I was totally taken off guard - Hellman's is absolutely the only mayo I would ever use and I use it for EVERYTHING not just Mother's "special" recipes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like using Best Foods mayonnaise on things and this makes it so much easier to take it with me when I'm going places. Also, when we get breakfast fast food, there usually isn't a condiment on them and this way I can add the mayo whenever I want. I tried it with a fast food sandwich and it really was nice to have a way to get mayo on it without any muss or fuss. I can also see using this when packing sandwiches to go so I don't have them soggy when we actually are ready to eat them.

I have been raised on Hellmans Real Mayonnaise. I am now 70. This past year I noticed an off taste, almost not fresh. I tried another generic brand and well, not much different. Just bought new jar yesterday because I really needed my Hellmans for my lobster roll. OMG, it was a soupy creamy texture, not the firm good texture I always knew. I might as well bought miracle whip. Now I can no longer continue to buy this. What happened??? Don’t tell me it is the same, it is NOT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the new Hellmann's squeeze bottle to try from Influenster with the understanding that I would share my expirience with the product. First of all, Hellmann's is my favorite mayo to use. It is my number one choice. I use it on almost all my sandwiches and of course in potato salad. It has such a good taste to it. I have tried the old squeeze bottle and this one is so much better. It squeezes out just the right amount of product and leaves the cap nice and clean. No gloopy mess with this one! And it squeezes out a nice thin stream. With the old one so much would come out it would make a mess of my sandwich.Please keep this bottle Hellmann's!

I have been a loyal hellmanns real mayonnaise user since I could crawl. the second I took the first bite of my fave mayo bread combo I could tell there was something wrong, so I did my usual habit of tasting the mayo first sure enough it tasted horrible.  This company lost a customer that day.

That great taste and perfect consistency that made it stand out far beyond the rest, has gone. Ok. These things happen. I know a little about marketing, product placement and profits. But besides that, I know one or two things about food. So, what came in place is just horrifying and utterly mediocre. When I want mediocre mayonnaise I will go to any supermarket and buy any brand there is. That situation happens exactly once a year and in all other cases it's simple: I make it myself or I use Hellmans. I did for years and years and a lot of folk I know with me. I have read some of the reviews here and yes, first time I noticed trouble was a glass jar instead of a plastic one (here in Europe that is) and immediately after opening: the consistency. I thought it had gone bad. Sadly it was worse than that: change of recipe. Never change a winning team. Simple as that. The new recipe does not have any benefits or unique features for your customers. I know for a fact that overseas customers think exactly the same (Holland, Germany, Belgium). The product you have now does not stand out in any way. Hope this helps and all the best!

The single packets are very hard to open. You will fight with it. We give clients them and unless you have scissors 9/10 times you’re not getting it open. I’ve been using Heinz ketchup packets, my whole life, and I’ve never not been able to get one of them open.

It's like a tangy lemony taste, not what I'm used to at all when using mayonnaise. I'll stick with the brand I've used for years and throw this one out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product. We had hosted a birthday party and the day before I received my product I was worried about how this would last with over 40 guests attending. This blew me away! Not only did every use every last scoop- but it was DELISH.

I grew up on Hellmann's and I'll use it till the end of time. No other mayonnaise can compare. Just the thought of a fresh tomato sandwich on homemade Italian bread smothered with Hellman's rock my world. I won't eat anyone's potato salad unless it is made with Hellman's. It's that delightful creaminess and eggy taste that does it all. Whatever spices are added just does the trick. Never, ever change your recipe. I use Hellman's on just about everything. While baking chicken, making devilled eggs, creating creamy dressings and dips, there's nothing like a dab of Hellman's. My favorite use is making my Homemade Dill Dip with Hellman's Mayonnaise, Sour Cream, Dill Weed, Garlic and Onion Powder and Pickle juice. It has been such a crowd pleaser whether using fresh vegetables, chips, crackers or toasted baguettes. I also put it in my mashed potatoes. As I said before, never change your recipe.
