Fair Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First impression is this razor feels light and cheap. Like the razors you would buy from a dollar store. The razor does give you a fairly close but it was not a close as my 5 blades razors. Although it is easier to maneuver that the 5 blade razor. I noticed the razor dried quickly when shaving. I had to apply water for lubrication constantly more that with my present razors.
We appreciate you sharing your thoughts on our Mach3 Blades and we're sorry to hear you didn't have the experience we were hoping for. To preserve the moisture on your blades, we do suggest storing your razor in its organizer to make sure air can circulate around the lubrastrip/cartridge after use. If you don't have an organizer, please store the razor face up. DO NOT store it face-down on the shower ledge, or with the lubrastrip in direct contact with any surface. Be sure to keep your razor/replacement cartridges away from direct contact with water when not in use. Rinse blades lightly after use. Extensive rinsing will wear your lubrastrip down faster. to get the closest shaving results, we recommend washing your face and neck with warm water and mild soap to help remove natural oils and sweat. This also makes hair softer and easier to cut. The best time to shave is right after a hot shower. Be sure to shave in the direction of hair growth for a more comfortable shave, or against the direction of growth for an even smoother shave. Do not shave in both directions. Please give us a call at (800) 445-5388 if you're still having trouble with your shave after trying these tips. We're always here to help!
Great razor for man and woman!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a few years of using a budget razor and blade set, i truly forgot what i was missing.. I forgot how close of a shave these Mach3 razors are and how extremely smooth i got. I would definitely recommend these to anyone. My girlfriend also tried it and now i have to get more!!
Gillette Mach3 Men's Razor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think that it is a really good razor. It's light weight, easy to use, and is good at getting hard to reach spots, despite not having a trimming blade. Overall it's better than most razors I personally have tried myself and is worth every penny.
I purchased a 5 pack of Mach3 razors and the first one in the pack failed to pivot. It locked into a position and resulted in very poor performance. I disposed of it and went to a second blade. Same issue. C'mon man! These are expensive items and I expect them to work. One bad one can be accepted, but two for two failed. Not good!
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that your Mach3 cartridges were not pivoting correctly. That is not the quality either you or we have come to expect from our products. I am passing your concerns along right away to our Quality Team. In the meantime, please don't hesitate to give us a call at 1-800-445-5388.
Still A Great Razor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first received notification I could participate in a Gillette Mach3 Razor review I thought, "what is this, 2002?". In fact, it wasn't. First introduced in 1998, the Mach3 is approaching 20 years keeping folks clean shaven. Up front, I want to admit I use a Gillette Fusion for my daily shaves, but I did use a Mach3 in the past. I was expecting a slight degradation from the Fusion's performance, and I didn't really get one over this short review period. I used the Mach3 a total of 7 times. While I use a non-Gillette brand shaving cream/lotion, I was impressed with the Mach3's ability to smoothly take my moderate daily scruff straight down to the skin. I shaved 5 times on 24 hour scruff and twice on 48 hour scruff, and it was able to provide a smooth, tight shave with no irritation. Another thing I appreciated was how simple and light the razor is (see picture compared to my Fusion). Something basic and clean was appreciated. The other demographic I believe could benefit from a Mach3 are those that are just learning to shave. Save some money, and buy this for your teenagers instead of higher priced options. It will easily handle their fuzz. That said, I haven't been able to test the limits of the cartridge's performance. I plan to use it until the cartridge needs replacing, and I depending on the results I may actually permanently switch BACK to the Mach3! The cartridges are about 30% cheaper than fusion refills, and considering I shave every day for work, that cost can add up! Even after 20 years and apparent "advancements in shaving technology" from other razors, the Mach3 still gives a terrific shave and compares well against higher priced razors. Give it a shot if you're up in the air on your razor decision.
Gillette Razor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been around the block many times as they say. Shaving now for nearly 50 years, I've tried almost all the razors out there, from a single blade to a 5-blade. This Gillette is a 3-blade razor, which is perfect for me, because when there are more than 3 blades, then I dispose them quicker as those blades get clogged fast. The over sized head kinda threw me at first, but while using it, there was nothing but comfort. Did it give me a close, and comfortable shave...Yes it did! I am going to be buying refills for this razor, rather than the one I have been using. Gillette certainly knocked one out of the park, with the Mach3.
Gillette Mach3-It's okay
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I noticed was the light weight of the razor. It just didn't feel as good as some of the other razors I have tried. The handle was so thin, I felt like I wasn't getting enough pressure while shaving. The shave was good, not great. It is an average razor, all in all.
We certainly appreciate your feedback and please be assured that we'll be passing this along to the rest of our team. In the meantime, we'd like to work with you on finding a razor that's perfect for you. Please give us a call at (800) 445-5388 so we can help.
Close Shave
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy having a beard and mustache but use a disposable razor to keep it looking nice and trimmed. Gillette is my go to brand and I was happy to try Gillette Mach 3. The blades have my a nice close shave it was easy to use and and worked well in getting the right curves needed for me to trim my beard. It was a close shave but didn’t irritate my skin what so ever. I enjoyed the way I looked afterwords and even got compliments from my family afte the shave. I would purchase this and recommend. I received the product for free to try.
Mach 3 is my #1 choice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mach 3 is my choice over the Fusion . I have them both but the Mach 3 it does me better . I have had it for a number of years now . i got the fusion to try out but to me the the mach 3 was better.
Not The Best Experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the Gillet Mach3, I was left with wanting my other razor. I find the handle a bit small and the shave isn't as close as what I'm used to. For the first time in I don't know how many years, I have a 1 1/2 inch scratch from the razor just under my jawline. This could be because I'm just not used to the feel, so I hope to have a better review with a few more shaves. It wasn't a very smooth shave; however, it did do well in tight spaces like around my nostrils.
Getting a smooth shave is a must, and we're sorry to hear that this wasn't the case. For the best shave we recommend washing your face and neck with warm water and mild soap to help remove natural oils and sweat. This also makes hair softer and easier to cut. The best time to shave is right after a hot shower! Apply plenty of shaving gel, foam or cream to soften the beard hair and reduce friction. Also, be sure to shave in the direction of hair growth for a more comfortable shave, or against the direction of growth for an even smoother shave. If you would like to share more about your experience, please give us a call at (800) 445-5388. We're always here to help.
