The older Mach3 razors (with blue plastic, which I ordered directly via the Gillette website) were fantastic. I've been using the Mach3 and only the Mach3 for over 20 years to shave my head and my face - outstanding. However, the last batch of Mach3 razors (the new variety with black plastic) had to be returned. The shave was clearly subpar by comparison. You could not only feel the difference when shaving, but the razors required going over the same area multiple times to produce a shave which was barely as good as what you could achieve with one or two passes from the older blue plastic Mach3's. I don't know why anyone at the company would make changes to a product that is already perfect. It makes no sense whatsoever. I don't know what I will buy to shave my head/face with now, but it will not be the Mach3 any longer. Shame on Gillette for ruining a great razor for no apparent reason.

I’ve always used whatever cheap razor pack I could find at the store and the Mach 3 has proven that was a huge mistake. When using this razor I had no razor bumps or irritation, which actually made me feel a lot better every morning when going to work. The multiple blades also mean less strokes over an area to get even the more stubborn hairs. Overall this is an amazing product! In fact my partner got jealous and bought one too. I feel the package should say something realating to faster shaving time and less strokes compared to the cheaper one blade disposable razors. That is a huge point for me because it means less time and less irritation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first took it out of the package, I thought it was too lightweight. I realized quickly that my old razor was just really heavy. I have very large hands so I like a razor that I can hold easily. This one has just the right amount of weight and size for me. The cut is great. My old razor had 5 blades and this one has only 3, yet it tackled my face with ease leaving me with a smooth mug.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Time to switch razors.. I decided to switch to the Gillette Mach 3 and wanted to give a little more than 2cents. I had approx 4-5 days of growth , so here's the verdict. I lathered up grabbed the Mach 3 and was ready to attack this growth. At first, the razor glided through the beard without snagging and this was a plus for me. But as I made some headway through shaving, I did notice a few key things. The beard was not coming completely off. I do not have a thick beard but it was about 4 maybe 5 days of growth. I had to go back and hit the area another 3 to 5 times so it was clean and neat. This was true for the rest of the face as well. The upper lip area seemed to come off somewhat easier so this was only a 2-3 passes to completely clean it up. I will say the lubrication strip was really plentiful and left somewhat of a nice softness to the skin and didn't get sticky. So my initial review of the first use was not too favorable, it felt like it was more work than it was worth. But I will not let this deter my trying out this Mach 3 razor for another round.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Mach 3 system may be a good choice for some - it just didn't hit the mark for me. The lubricant wore off after on 3 uses and the blades seemed to clog up making it somewhat uncomfortable to use. On the plus side - the the razor system itself is easy to load, and felt good in my hand. However, that did not translate to close, smooth, shave. May work for some - just did not hit the mark for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's small size is convenient for carrying. Works well in tight spots like around the ears or under the nose. Gives a smooth and gentle shave if your skin is sensitive. I am used to using a five blade razor so I didn't like that I had to go over areas more than I would have with a five blade razor. Overall not bad for like a travel razor but as day to day razor I would stick with a five blade.

This razor does provide a smooth and very close shave. In fact, the closest shave I have experienced in 30 years of shaving. It does have drawbacks though. The lubricating strip disolves very quickly and you loose blade sharpness after about a week. The replacement blade cost is out of sight!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First thing that comes into my mind buying a Razor is the way the Razor goes onto my skin. The Handle of this Razor is ok, almost a little too small. But that is just a preference thing. The Razor has three blades and a Moisturizing strip. What I am missing is the precision trimmer on the back. I always use that one to closely shave on the upper lip. Most Razors don't remove the hairs that are close to the nose, so doesn't this Razor. For me this is important. The Three Blades that this razor have are good and work for weeks without getting dull. If you don't need the precision trimmer you are good with this Razor. Love Gillette anyways

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this razor for about 3 days and I have to say, WOW!! I've used disposable ones all my life and I have to say, I won't be going back. This gives a really close shave without causing the redness and discomfort that you can get from disposable razors. It's really sturdy as well, due to the fact that this is metal and not plastic. I would highly recommend you give this razor a try!

The Mach3 razor is a good razor, but nowhere near as great as the late Mach3 Turbo!!! Speaking of, where did the Turbo razor go? It was the best on the market, defeating any and every other brand out there! Now we're left with second best for a not as great shave experience. What gives?
