High quality machine for the price. Up to par with those twice the price. To get the coffee to your taste follow the setup instructions carefully to adjust temperature, water hardness, and other parameters.

This is my 4th one. Easy to use, easy to clean, brews a great cup of espresso or americana. We don' t use the milk attachment much. I would give it 5 stars, but we use it so much it wears out between 8 months to a couple of years.

This machine makes the most amazing espresso. i will not be able to go back using a different machine. Pretty easy to use and the machine grounds the coffee for you.

The power switch didn't work out of the box. I called De'longhi to confirm it was nothing I did, and they offered to send a new one to replace it. However, took it back to Sam's club and got a refund as I don't the product anymore (it may work - I just don't trust anything that's broken out of the box). I will be getting an De'longhi ESAM3300 instead. I had an ESAM3300 previously for 5 years and loved it, but it started to leak (it may be an older model - but its great). I give it 3 stars - originally it was 1 star for failing out of the box, but the response from DeLonghi over the phone was great - so 3 stars in the end.

We purchased our Magnifica in 2007 (12 years people!) and it has been going strong ever since. We have loved everything about it and will buy again when necessary. The machine has had some squealing problems for the past year during the pod clearing stage. We found out it is a lubrication problem due to age. We have opted to have the machine serviced with a complete overhaul vs buying a new machine. We have been told to expect many more years of life from our well loved Magnifica.

I have had the model 03 for at least five years. No problems and I am not the best at keeping it clean. Kept original box and take it with me on car trips and trailer trips. Have several Nespresso machines that I loved, but they all eventually stopped working and the pods were costly. I do not use the wand and have had several standalone frothers so I cannot judge that part. Use Lavazza Italian espresso beans and Samsclub Columbian and French Roast. I do espresso, my wife does Americano. A godsend after working in Italy and Germany. I did not even drink coffee before that!

Opened up the door to find coffee all over the inside. It was nowhere near the catch-all container. Very loud machine. But my biggest reason for 3stars is that no matter what I try, I can't get the drink to resemble a cappuccino or a latte for that matter. It makes an ok espresso and a great cup of coffee. But so does my 40$ coffee maker. So why the additional $500

I have spent a lot of money in the past on an espresso machine. I was really upset when my Jura died after only 2 years. We decided against spending another 3K on an espresso machine and bit the bullet on the automated espresso De'Longhi. I am so glad we did. It makes fantastic espresso and coffee drinks. I would highly recommend this product over the more expensive brands on the market.

Love it

I have never had either type of machine before, however I love both types of coffee. It was a little intimidating at first, but owners manual has great step by step directions on how to grid, brew and use the machine. It also contains cleaning instructions and a bottle of descaler. Nothing really to put together. The size of the machine is 16 inches deep, 15 inches tall and 11 inches wide; so make sure you have counter space. I can't wait for family to come for the holidays to put my new brewing skills to use! Great addition to our kitchen.
