Cons: -It doesn't make very hot coffee, even if you run a rinse cycle to warm it up. -The steam wand isn't very powerful, and it will take a solid 2 minutes+ to warm 10 oz of milk. -You can't pull a shot and steam milk at the same time, which further adds to the cold coffee situation. -If you are in a divided household when it comes to caffeine, you won't easily be able to share this machine. There is no portafilter. You load the machine with beans, and it grinds them within the machine. So, in our case, our machine is a decaf machine only. (I have not tried using pre-ground coffee in addition to the whole beans.) Pros: -It does work! It makes concentrated espresso or a cup of coffee- you can control how diluted you want it to be. You can steam and froth milk with it. -It does produce a crema, every time! -The steam wand is easy to take apart for thorough cleaning. -Once you use it a couple times, it's very user friendly. (All new things can be a bit intimidating) Overall, I would recommend it if someone is on a budget. It will do what you need it to do, but I'm sure a more expensive/higher quality machine would give higher quality results. Although, I have made some lattes that were just as good as Starbucks. This machine will pay for itself quickly now that we have all but eliminated the nearly daily Starbuck's runs. I do see myself upgrading to a more powerful espresso maker in the future, and I can't say I would buy this one again.

Once you figure out how everything works, it easily makes a great cup of coffee that is noticeably smooth to the taste

This is a great machine. Makes perfect espresso every time. You can also adjust a lot of settings to make the coffee the way you like it.

Love this espresso / coffee machine. This is our second Magnifica. We gifted our first one when our son moved out. I research other brands but for the money you can not beat this machine.

Awesome coffee maker. We were worried that it won't make good americano (big cup) but it's more than capable. Been using it for few weeks, no issues so far.

So far super simple to use! Took me a bit to adjust to my coffee likes. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but not a lot of La crème. Knob for hot water and frothing, super hard to turn. Not good if I was 70 or older, and/or have arthritis

This replaces my 10-year old Magnifica with a failing water pump. Great espresso. I AM going to fix the old one. But at this price, I won't have to miss my double shot in the morning.

An incredible price for a super automatic, sturdy and easy to use. This is our second DeLonghi, the first lasted 9 years. It kept the coffee cup warmer than this one, but otherwise we love this one.

Have had this model for about a month now and do not regret my purchase at all. No longer have to go out and pay high dollar for quality coffee. If you have never used an expresso machine (like myself), it has a little bit of a learning curve, but well worth it.

I rarely write reviews let alone good reviews. But this machine exceeded All my expectations. I've only had it for a month or so so I can't speak for long term reliability. So far it has been excellent Cons- Would be perfect if it had a bigger water tank
