If the cross-contact presence of an allergen, like peanuts, is unavoidable despite our precautions, we label the product like this: “MAY CONTAIN PEANUTS.” Please note that we use this type of “may contain” labeling judiciously— only when an allergen could be present despite all precautions to prevent it.
