Sleeve was open

I bought this 18 pack of ritz at Sam’s and the first tube I grabbed, crackers fell out! Upon inspection, it looks like one end of the tube was never even sealed. The box was fully closed so it wasn’t like someone tampered with it. Completely stale and had to be thrown away.

what happened?

I eat ritz crackers all the time. Love them! The newest batch I just bought was terrible. There was no salt on top and they don’t have that great buttery taste that just melts in your mouth. Generic brands taste better than this! Did they switch some ingredients to save money? Not a smart move for the company. Being a ritz lover I gladly pay more for their distinct taste. Their uniqueness is gone and I’m done. Sad day

Not one grain of salt

No salt, at all!!! Second time buying these from Sam's, I was hoping the first time was just a fluke. What’s weird is that I can go to any other store and NEVER have an issue. Why is this an issue from Sam’s? I love Ritz, but without salt it’s like eating pilot bread. 😞

1/2 Taste for 1/2 price

These crackers have about 1/2 the amounts of butter and salt as a normal box of crackers. I can’t believe Ritz allows their name on these. Very bland tasting. If you eat Ritz from the smaller boxes you will hate these. For those never had a Ritz you might enjoy.

Cracker packages had been gnawed open on the ends

Many of the cracker packages inside the box (which was not damaged and was completely sealed) had been ripped open at the ends. It was obvious that the ends of the packages had been gnawed open by rats or mice. They must have been ripped open before being sealed in the box. This shows a major lack of quality control in the factory. I took pictures, but there is no where I can post them on the review.
