We have used Quilted Northern Soft and Strong for years and were shocked when we opened a new 9 pack with the repackaged look. I had to check that my husband had bought the right thing as the paper quality is horrible - nothing quilted or soft or strong about it. It is like wiping with thin sandpaper. The cheapest feeling toilet paper I have ever used. Not sure if we will buy again based on this we may try a different brand.

The strong texture on this tissue goes a long way with the amount of the tissue used in one visit to the restroom. It may have less square footage than others BUT you do use less which is a major cost-saving item. My husband does not want me to buy ANY OTHER, no matter if its on sale or not. I've tried others that were on sale but end up spending more money because of the thin texture on 80% of other brands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quilted Northern Ultra Soft & Strong is a great quality product that my family and I know we can count on to be strong yet soft, and to consistently maintain that quality. We find that we can use less of this than other products and still feel like we're using a premium product. It's also great that it's septic safe as we have a septic system. It's very hard to find good quality toilet paper sometimes that's also septic safe. We will continue to buy this product and even look for it when shopping for toilet paper.

I have purchased Northern toilet tissue for a very long time and, I must say, I am so dissapointed in the reduction in quality I have experienced over the past couple of years. The tissue is much more expensive (and the price continues to rise), it is of thinner quality (so more is required), and it leaves white paper dust on my tile floor.

As with most toilet paper it can leave a very small amount of small pieces behind but much less than most! We use it for it's softness and for the fact that it doesn't create a dust party all over the bathroom with excess fibers and such!

I've used so many brands but I have always come back to Quilted Northern. this is the softest toilet paper I've used. It doesn't tear and it keeps me clean. Some brands do but this one doesn't clog up my toilet. It doesn't shred nor does it leave lint in my bathroom. Great buy!

Rolled out the Quilted Northern from the leading competitor's "strong" brand, and right away we noticed the lack of pieces (you know the ones, the supposed non-existing ones!) being left behind. One year later and we haven't looked back...we haven't had to ;) I have loved the softness and strength of QN Ultra Soft & Strong since the first day, and from someone who suffers from interstitial cystitis, I need a paper that is as soft and irritant-free, yet strong, as possible, and QN makes me hate this condition a little less with each bathroom trip!

That is until we tried Quilted Northern Ultra Strong and Soft. Wow, what a difference! We actually use less toilet paper now because it's so strong. You just don't need as much. And the softness is just what anyone's bum needs. Highly recommend this great product.

Since I have Crohn's Disease I have to use tissue that is soft along with strong because of how often I have to go. This is the only bathroom tissue that I have found that lives up to its name and even though it may cost a little more it is well worth paying more for the quality !!!!

I have been using Northern since I can remember and until recently have loved the Northern Ultra Soft and Strong but the last pack I bought is neither soft or strong. I am not sure when or why they changed this product but it now feels like a commercial bathroom tissue that you would find in a public restroom. I will not be buying this product any longer. It is one of the worst bathroom tissues that I have ever used. It is not soft and it shreds easily. Why change a good thing?
