Great news Walkema, it does have a detachable head! Simply step on the white refill and pull away the handle to release the white mop refill. This will permit you to add to your washing machine load to wash it and air dry it for your next use. We&#39;re sorry to hear that ☹️This should help you out! <br /><br />-Hold the red handle in your right hand - grey in left. <br /><br />-Extend halfway (not fully) turn red handle away from you to lock. <br /><br />-Extend bottom grey part (closest to the base where the treads are) halfway, turn toward you to lock. <br /><br />You should now be able to extend both ends fully to locking position.
