These whip up super fast and are delish. You can also substitute this for other biscuit mixes in savory casseroles. I used this in a chicken pot pie recipe I found online and my hubby loved it.

I loved the Cheddar Bay Biscuits at Red Lobster, but these are not anywhere close! They taste like plain biscuits with only a little extra butter, cheese, and garlic. They're not bursting with flavor like the restaurant's.

The biscuit mix had no flavor, and the packet mix wasn't enough to make the biscuit mix taste like a cheddar bay biscuit. Very bland, we were really disappointed. It tasted like a dry saltine cracker.

How much cheese and the quality of the cheese will impact outcome. Our usual rule is there is no such thing as too much cheese. We use Tillamook. I like to salt them a touch more.
