Favorite cheap black tea - forever!! Was raised on it, and it will always feel like a warm hug. I use Lipton black when I don't want citrus undertones. There are times you just want a simple cup of tea with no frills, in a good way. Lipton is the only basic black tea that offers that simple black tea.

I look forward to the Lipton tea I have enjoyed every day for breakfast for many years. I take a few nicely wrapped tea bags with me when out of town. My husband bought new box of tea, I did not see it but could tell right away something was very wrong with the tea. I brewed a stronger second cup and it still tasted nothing like Lipton tea. I looked at new packaging and am so disappointed this tea has changed to nothing recognizable to the brisk Lipton tea I look forward to every morning! It is the way I start my day! There is nothing to improve on with this tea. The wrapped tea bags were just as fresh to the very last tea bag. If you choose to package them unwrapped, why change the taste? Please bring back my brisk Lipton tea! In any packaging would be fine, but please go back to original blend of tea and taste!

I love using these to make homemade sweet tea! I drink sweet tea all the time, but buying it pre-made isn't anything like homemade sweet tea. Pre-made is either too sweEt not enough sugar or it's just weird and "fake" tasting. I would recommend it to anyone who likes sweet tea!

I love this product! It tastes amazing! I have been using this product for around a month and a half so far. If you are debating whether or not to buy this product, then this is your sign to go and buy it! If I were to recommend any product, it would be this one!

I was really bummed with the new packaging- more like the new "NO packaging" - hate the fact that the bags are not individually wrapped.......but they have done something far worse....these are not the same tea bags! The flavor is awful - the tea is muddy instead of that wonderful clear tea I've known for more than 50 years. This stuff is not even drinkable. They've pulverized the tea, so it leaves a scum and cloudy tea- and the taste is dreadful. I couldn't believe it- made 3 different pots of tea with this new box of 100.......and threw the rest of it in the trash - it is disgusting 'tea' - cannot believe the Lipton name is on this product. I won't buy it again.

This tea is the reason I was in college before I realized I love tea. This was pretty much the only tea we had in the house when I was growing up and I hated it. It’s bitter and harsh. It tastes like it could be mostly dirt, which, quite honestly, it probably is. Cheap teas like this are usually made of “tea dust” or fannings, the leftover small broken bits of leaf that get swept up after the higher grade tea leaves are processed. The taste is revolting. My family and many others we spent time with frequently used it to make nasty over-brewed iced tea with about two pounds of sugar dumped in to try to mask the completely unpalatable flavor of the tea. Turning it into syrup didn’t make it any more appealing to me. I still cringe every time I see one of these boxes. There are grocery store teas I’m willing to drink that I will freely admit aren’t exactly high-quality but I can’t bring myself to go all the way to the bottom shelf and drink Lipton.

Why would you change something that worked. Individually wrapped teabags were convenient now not so much. Can't toss one in my lunch bag without first putting it in a sandwich bag. I see other reviewers aren't happy either. If it isn't broken why change it.

Why have you changed your packaging?  It was great as it was.  My mother is 99 yrs old and has been drinking Lipton all of her life.  She said that it doesn't taste the same and she can't serve it with her friends as it's not individually wrapped.  Also, the foil is not as environmentally friendly as paper.  Please go back!!

a good basic tea nothing too special about it it’s a good value for a fair price ive purchased multiple times i enjoy the flavor i usuallly just add sugar as a sweetener i would definitely recommend this to people like me who aren’t too specific with the type of tea they drink
