Works but has Quality Issues

Picked this product up directly for my local Sam's Club. Was careful with loading and unloading but the freezer came with a pretty large dent/damage at the bottom right of the freezer door even though the cardboard box appeared fine. Fortunately this did not seem to impact its functionality. The freezer was easy to set up and does get cold, although it takes awhile to get there. I like the profile of the freezer and being upright also has its advantages. Note there is no automatic defrost and the shelves are not removable/adjustable since the wires are built into the shelves. It works for now but longevity may be an issue down the line, e.g. the external panels run hot while the interior runs lukewarm cold at max freeze setting. Other reviewers are probably accurate in their assessment. I would not recommend purchasing this product given the condition I received mine in.

Horrible

1st one delivered had 2 dents in the door and side, and 2 cracks in the plastic band on top of freezer. Packed it up and returned to the store. Got the 2nd one unpacked, moved into place, and loaded with food when we thought it was getting cold. Next morning, food ruined and not cold at all. Now I have to load it back up and take back to the store! No desire to try a 3rd one! Do NOT recommend.

Freezer Damaged

Beware, these things aren't made very well. Packaging looks good on the outside, just wait for the surprise inside. The bottom plate for the door hinge was bent to the point the door won't stay on. The back bottom corners were all smashed up. Shouldn't have to make repairs to something just purchased. Customer service was a joke also.

Disappointed...Not working after 1.5 months

Great freezer to start with but after one and half months, it stopped working. First, it was the top shelve that stop working, then second, then the whole freezer is not cold anymore. There's a lot of ice buildup and I tried to empty out the freezer and defrost it but still no help.

Unit did cool or freeze for two days?

Bought brand new, and it doesn't say on the box but I already know that you should let refrigerators and freezers sit upright for up to 24 hours. it didn't seem to do any good this unit has been plugged in for nearly 5 hours now and has not gotten any degree cooler. if it's not operating normally tomorrow it's getting returned to Sam's club.

DO NOT BUY THIS THOMSON FREEZER

New Thomson freezer constantly gets ice build up since day one. Have had it three months. It would be so much more worth it to buy a better freezer even though it would a little more. The seal on these freezers must be bad because somehow warm air is getting inside to cause that ice buildup. Or there is an internal problem. Either way, DO NOT BUY!

Seal around door leaks and condensation forms.

Have had freezer one week and am not pleased with the quality of door and leaking seal. After having to haul it home and set up it is just to much trouble to return. Will not recommend product. There was a dark dirty looking spot on seal out of the box.

Hi Bush - you can adjust the door seal to eliminate leaking as follows:<br />1. Adjust the front legs so the front of the freezer is higher than the rear - this way gravity will aid in keeping the door closed.<br />2. Loosen the top &amp;/or bottom hinge plates and draw the door toward the freezer and tighten the screws.<br />3. Close the door on a dollar bill at several locations around the exterior of the door - if the dollar bill pulls out easily, the door is out of adjustment.<br />4. You can lubricate the door gasket with some petroleum jelly (Vaseline) to keep it pliable.

Bad Design

I really wanted to like this, unfortunately the door was very poorly designed. It has maybe two inch pins holding it together on the top and bottom of the door as the hinge. The bottom of our freezer came slightly broken with the pin on the bottom sagging causing the door to fall off.

Not worth is

I bought this less that a year ago. It was kept inside my home and hold a decent amount of food for being small. It worked great until it randomly stopped. I lost hundreds of dollars worth of food. It has taken months dealing with the warranty company trying to get a refund or replacement.
