Brought this home, laid it out, let it expand come bed time it was time to try it. Laid down and instantly wanted to return it. It was so far from what I was used to. After sleeping good that night I decided to give it another night. Come the second night my body was getting used to the new level of comfort. It was like a shock to my body but once my body got use to the support, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I can’t get enough of this thing. I don’t want to get out of bed. My son absolutely loves it as well. He wants one for his room. I’m a 175lb make 5,”9. Point it, give it a few nights before you make decision your body will thank you. As far as heat, I don’t find this unit keeps my body any warmer than my regular mattress. This is a big deal for me as I couldn’t deal with being hit at night. I think the gel as well as the 1” foam topper helps with that. Happy I spent the extra money and got a Reliable brand.

Bought mine 2 days ago, fully expanded within minutes of taking out of the box, and was ready to be used as soon as we put the cover on it. My wife is a restless sleeper, first time in 22 years I watched her sleep in one position almost through the whole night (got caught up binge-watching the Mentalist :-). If course, she had to ruin it by putting an extra sheet on the cover, which made it counterproductive, but even with it she woke up actually relaxed. The best thing is - after the initial "You spend money on things that don't work as advertised" speech, she hasn't said it again yet, which is impressive with our household standards, haha. Money well spent!

I bought a relatively expensive mattress sight unseen based on reviews (umm, it was NOT comfy plush yet supportive, lol) and it was quite uncomfortable. So much so that we couldn’t tell which was the “pillow-top” side and which was the box spring side. We bought this topper (again, based on reviews) and we are SO glad we did. It’s like sleeping on a different mattress. Plush but you don’t sink in, molds to your spine. Worth every penny.

Im not a "natural" person or anything. I've had toppers before that had chemical smells, they all went away after a couple of weeks. This one? OMG. TWO months and it is STILL smelling very chemical-like. I give up... the headaches are constant and it's caused a couple of mild asthma episodes. Luckily, Sams will take it back. Glad they have a decent return policy.

My husband and I thought this topper would be great for our new mattress but it isn't working out. For over a month now we have been waiting for this awful smell to dissipate....but it hasn't and now the smell is making me ill. We have tried airing our room out but that doesn't help. The smell has gotten into our pillows,sheets and comforter. I'm very disappointed because we don't know what to do and the topper has become increasingly HOT! We need HELP!! A $179 is alot of money to be going through this agony.

I had purchased a 3" memory foam topper from Sams Club several years aago. It was time to replace it. After reading many online reviews, I purchased this Serta 4" topper from Sams Club. It comes with 3" of memory foam and a 1" fiber filled cover for it. The foam in this topper is different than my old topper. It is not as heavy, firm and dense as my old one was. At first I was leery because it seemed different. This new Serta one has a softer breatheable foam and it is easy to turn over and is very comfortable. Our mattress is extremely hard and you must use a topper in order to be comfortable. It comes in a box and the topper is vaccuum packaged into a solid square that feels like concrete!! However, once you remove the outer packaging the foam begins to breathe and expand. BE SURE to read the directions first about unpackaging the product. Mine only took a few hours to totally expand however, I left is lay on the bed for the rest of the day before I put sheets on it and I slept on it that night. I have slept on it only a few nights but I am very happy with this purchase. It is much more comfortable than my old one was. I am so happy I purchased it.

We have had this topper for 1 week now and the smell is relentless. It has not dissipated at all, its a very strong smell, almost mildew like. The smell even transfers to anything you lay on the bed, even with a cover and sheet over the topper! Our pillows, sheets and even clothing laid upon the bed will smell like the topper. Its going back to Sams today. As far as comfort goes, I think it is satisfactory, I personally would prefer a bit firmer as its very soft. But for those that like a sink in soft topper, this would do the trick nicely if you can get past the horrible smell.

This king size pillow top cover with memory foam mattress topper was purchased in August for a new king bed in travel trailer. The topper was packaged compressed and surprisingly the memory foam expanded perfectly. Not all compressed toppers do that. I trimmed the foam with razor blade box cutter to fit the actual mattress as it was 3” too wide. The cover fit just fine. I have a very bad back and two surgeries later lots of arthritis so sleeping comfortably is not easy. I had an occasion to sleep on the bed when my 2 GSDs pushed me out of my home bed! I got up and took my pillows to the travel trailer. Let me tell you right now......I fell onto that bed and it felt absolutely like a cloud. I was supported and the new London Fog sheets were extremely soft to the skin. The comforter, also new, was warm and there was no repugnant odor. The travel trailer already had that new smell anyway. In my honest opinion, this is the very best buy I have made in a very long time. Do not scrimp $$$ on your sleep foundation, sleepless nights and back pain are a terrible price to pay. I love this topper and cover!!

This product arrived very tightly wrapped and in two parts. As I laid in bed tonight, I wondered what I was smelling and thought maybe the pad was gassing out. But then I started having difficulty breathing and finally it occurred to me that I was smelling...MILDEW!! Really really strong mildew. I woke up my husband worried that prolonged exposure could prove harmful and we pulled / dragged the stinking behemoth off the bed. An hour later and I still couldn't take a breath without coughing. We only spent a few hours on it, but it was uncomfortable after about 30 minutes... I do not recommend purchasing this item.

I bought this, because my husband was complaining that the mattress was too firm. I put it on and yes, it is soft, but the smell of strong chemicals is so much, that it is hard to get over it. I would hope that the smells gets out or it will have to be a return.
