Dog loves these bones, though be careful. Large chunks come off while chewing. Our 5 month old German Shepherd had a Prime bone 2 days ago and is vomiting up large chuncks today that she couldn't digest. She loves these bones, but eats them too fast.

I used to buy these treats for my heavy chewer until I realized it was making her sick. This caused intestinal blockage. After performing an emergency surgery, and 10s of thousands of dollars later the vet showed what was retrieved from her stomach and blocking her colon (which happened to be pieces of this treat). Safe yourself and your canine from illness, heartache and expensive vet bills. Do not purchase this item.

Chew sticks keep my large dogs occupied longer than the smaller chews for smaller dogs. my dogs eagerly wait for me to give each one and they love the taste. they never refuse these treats.such a reasonable price too! and no junk in these chews! No rawhide and made in New York!

I echo a previous comment. I appreciate the printing on the package to monitor your dog so that you know if he/she is chewing it properly for digestion. . . but that is pretty difficult; and if they don't chew it properly, it's probably down the hatch before you can do anything. My ChocLab did not chew his properly and ended up in the pet ER for the night on IV fluids and other drugs trying to work through the stomach & upper GI blockage he got from it. His symptoms were belly tenderness to the touch, frequent back leg stretching, shaking in the hind quarters, and refusal to sit/lay. He vomitted 2 large HARD Brussels-sprout-sized orgs of Prime Bone, which started the process of working out the build up of gas in his stomach, and watching it move through the GI tract via 3 sets of Xrays $1060 later, my dogs will NEVER be given these treats again.

I have a lab all labs love food and tend to not chew well. I gave my dog one of these prime bones several days later she threw it up it came up in two pieces the exact shape and look of the bone it concerns me that after days in her stomach her stomach acid couldn't break it down one bit.

Thought these would be perfect for my easily bored dog. Yes, they could have had if they were a bit smaller. She took it and immediately dropped it, looked at me as if to say”you’re kidding me”. Donated them to a lucky friends pup.
