ER Visit

I echo a previous comment. I appreciate the printing on the package to monitor your dog so that you know if he/she is chewing it properly for digestion. . . but that is pretty difficult; and if they don't chew it properly, it's probably down the hatch before you can do anything. My ChocLab did not chew his properly and ended up in the pet ER for the night on IV fluids and other drugs trying to work through the stomach & upper GI blockage he got from it. His symptoms were belly tenderness to the touch, frequent back leg stretching, shaking in the hind quarters, and refusal to sit/lay. He vomitted 2 large HARD Brussels-sprout-sized orgs of Prime Bone, which started the process of working out the build up of gas in his stomach, and watching it move through the GI tract via 3 sets of Xrays $1060 later, my dogs will NEVER be given these treats again.

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

I have an aggressive chewer (large breed, healthy, energetic, < a year old); so I was super excited when my dog liked these treats right away...But then he began vomiting (leaving the vomitus without trying to eat it). He then stopped eating these altogether. Purina Prime Bones Chew Stick (with Wild Venison) has been the only change in his diet. Now I have reason to be concerned about intestinal blockage. UGH!!

Prime Bones

Dog loves these bones, though be careful. Large chunks come off while chewing. Our 5 month old German Shepherd had a Prime bone 2 days ago and is vomiting up large chuncks today that she couldn't digest. She loves these bones, but eats them too fast.

Not digestable

I have a lab all labs love food and tend to not chew well. I gave my dog one of these prime bones several days later she threw it up it came up in two pieces the exact shape and look of the bone it concerns me that after days in her stomach her stomach acid couldn't break it down one bit.
