[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Sadie is a huge fan of the Purina Prime Bones Chew Stick With Wild Venison small dog bones. She couldn’t wait to get her paws on one while I was trying to get the package open. She’ll eat one of them in one setting but it lasts her a good ten minutes or so (it takes a bit longer for my Chihuahuas to gobble them down). I love that there’s no rawhide in this chew stick and that it contains limited ingredients (no corn, wheat, soy, artificial colors, artificial flavors, or artificial preservatives). It’s also made in New York. The shape is such that she’s not going to choke or get her mouth stuck on it and the added calcium helps her teeth and bones. This is a treat that I feel good about giving her and she really enjoys it (she’ll climb to get to them if I don’t hide them in the cabinet). I highly recommend this treat to other dog parents who are looking for a rawhide or plastic alternative. I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First let me say my dogs love these! I have a chocolate lab and Brittany spaniel. These treats are about the size of size of my palm and about 4 inches thick. They usually suck their treats down and these they have to take their time to chew. They come in a resealable bag to keep them fresh.

Bones and other treats that take longer to eat usually upset his stomach resulting in a mess to clean up. He loves these and no tummy troubles. I give him these when people come over and I want him to leave them alone.

My large 50+lb puppy loves these, but unfortunately, they were making him sick. He would swallow the last inch of the bone without chewing. I originally wondered if he was eating rocks, but through process of elimination and carefully watching him revealed these treats as the culprit. Saying this, we had 2 other dogs who have since passed who also loved these and had no problems. I think because he eats a large chunk at the end, his body simply can not break it down.

Most treats they get, they will chew on them awhile then forget about them. These treats kept them occupied for hours, til they were gone. Didn't make their breath bad either. Love them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two small dogs, a chihuahua mix and a chihuahua. They both love small bones, but I often worry about their safety. The small Purina Rawhide-Free Chew Sticks with wild venison are meant to be consumed, with no sharp pieces that could cause a choking hazard. I was expecting the Purina small chew sticks to be smaller since they are meant for small dogs. The chew sticks are actually quite thick in diameter and heavy. Lucy, our chihuahua mix, absolutely loved them. One chew stick kept her busy for a few hours. She kept at it until it was finished. The chew sticks are pretty high in calories, so they are not meant to be a daily treat. In fact, the recommendation for small dogs is to limited them to one chew stick one per week. Tina, our older chihuahua, had difficulty with the size of the chew stick. It was too thick and heavy for her to manage. She hid the first one I gave her and never tried to chew it. (Not to worry, Lucy later found it and enjoyed it!) I would say if you have a small dog that can manage a thick and heavy chew stick, then definitely buy these. Your dog will love them! However, if you have a small dog that struggles with heavier bones or treats, or if you are looking for something that you can give to your dog more often than once a week, it would probably be best to find something smaller for them.

She likes to go to her snack pantry and ask for one daily,sometimes twice daily. She won't let anyone near her when she is eating it! We have bought a few more bags since.

My do is a big chewer. He will chew anything from a book to a shoe without hesitation! We have had to put our buddy on crate rest for medical reasons and he has loved having these to keep him busy! Rawhide usually upsets his stomach but we have had no problems at all with these chews and they keep him occupied about as long as a bone does!

I wasn't aware of these treats but I'm so happy to find them. You really should try these, my little one is so picky, but she really loves these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So our little guy will not and repeat will not eat a treat ever. He just simply refuses to touch one and pushes it away with his nose. Picky to say the least. As soon as I pulled the Wild Venison Chew stick out of the package and let him smell it, he was dancing on his mind legs for me to give it to him. Once he had his little mouth on it, there was no stopping him, to the point that when I went to take it from him he sent me on a chase through the house to get it from him. Very durable and can easily see town this will be long lasting, I can see one stick lasting several days.
