In my opinion, spam should not be considered a poor man's food. It is delicious. My four-year-old grandson chooses spam over candy! My family and I have always loved spam. When I am craving something and I don't know what I'm craving, I reach for the spam. I make Spam sandwiches, I grill it, I mix it with pasta, I eat it with butter biscuits, or simply carve it straight from the can and munch down! There's no limit to what I will do when it comes to my spam.You may come between me and a man, but never between me and my spam!

I have to be honest, until I seen this on social media I didn't know there were any other flavors of Spam which is surprising even to me since I have been eating it all my life and I am 55. Now that I know I gonna have to try the others. I live in a small town so wish me luck finding them.

It's been a long time since I have tried SPAM. I ate it when I was a kid. I remember it being delicious, my mom would make it for my brothers and I. I just recently purchased some at the grocery store, and can't wait for the memories to come back. Thank You!

I have eaten Spam since a child. Two recipes I remember eating was a sweet and sour baked spam. It had pineapple and I m not sure what else. Another was a cornbread recipe that had spam in the bottom of skillet with cornbread mix poured over it. Inside the cornbread mix was some chopped onion and pepper. The spam basically fried while cornbread was cooking. A perfect addition to a southern country meal. Perhaps the simplest and my favorite breakfast is fried spam placed inside a thin biscuit. So good.

Short version- fried slices of Spam on pilot bread is a favorite comfort food and treat. Long version- My mother came to Alaska in the late 60s as a volunteer. For her, it was something completely new. She'd never been in a place where the grocery stores might not carry fresh food. She was introduced to Spam and pilot bread, as they are shelf stable foods. When she had children of her own, she was living in the city. When she got nostalgic for the villages, she would make fried Spam and serve it on pilot. It became a treat that we enjoyed. It still is, when I'm missing her a lot, I'll get a can of Spam and a box of pilot bread and it tastes exactly the same as when she made it. That product consistency, the flavor, it tastes like home. My children like it in eggs, my husband likes it in sandwiches. Me? I'll still have it on pilot bread. Soft on the inside, fried crisp on the outside, on a crunchy piece of pilot bread.

From being chopped up and fried with eggs to being sliced and slapped between two slices of bread, it's the classic meat in the iconic blue and yellow can that satisfies my hunger for something that tastes good, is quick, and is versatile. I like spam to begin with but my wife and i empty-nesters now and she doesn't care for it as much as i do. That's why i like the smaller can since i can have it myself for lunch with very little, if any, waste.I like it as a grilled spam and cheese sandwich. I only gave it 4 stars because it has become pretty difficult to find the smaller sized cans and the individually wrapped slices are pretty expensive, comparatively speaking.

I have fixed SPAM hundreds of differant ways and lived them all. I recently cut it in 1/4" strips marinated in soy and dehydrated it into jerky. I made the mistake of taking a batch to a local drinking establishment and needless to say i will be quite busy filling orders in the future.

I am 100% for classic spam we use it sliced thinly in a nice salad, but the best is sliced and fried crispy on the outside and still soft on the inside with lettuce, tomato and mayo on toast. But now I see we have Spam with cheese seriously need to find this product and give it a try both ways. Can't wait to find it my mouth can already taste it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being from Hawaii, SPAM has been a regular staple of our family's diet. SPAM has a less than favorable reputation here on the mainland. I have always loved SPAM and I have encouraged others to try it. Those that do, admit to liking it. I continue to encourage people to try it since many have not even tasted it. SPAM CLASSIC has been a favorite of mine and my family and still is. Thank you for getting rid of the key to open the can. I have saved a few keys for sentimental reasons, but I can't find them. If possible, I would appreciate it if you sent me a few.
