I am a quiet man, non-confrontational, but I had to say something. My wife thought she was in heaven when she first brought home the Lavendar and Vanilla fabric softner. She washed everything in that stuff. bedding, towels, the babys clothes, her stuff, even my clothes. Yeah i went to work and the bars smelling "pretty" but its a decent scent, and she was so happy I didnt care. But when Downy changed the scent, for who knows what purpose, she did her usual laundry, and couldnt figure out what that stink was. After accusing the washer of being smelly, and a repair man (me) taking apart the washer. And using new water softner salt, cause she sisted that was it. Then we changed tide, to no avail. The stink kept comming back. Then we discovered that Downy changed the scent to the "new" Lavendar Smell-enity. And it STINKS. We have since changed fabric softener to a different brand. My wife is mad, I am grumpy and even the baby isnt happy. Downy, please bring back your Lavendar and Vanilla and bring serenity back to my home!

I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW MANY TIMES PEOPLE CALLED TO ASK ABOUT THE LAUNDRY PRODUCTS I USED BECAUSE THEY LOVED THE SMELL! IT WAS THE OLD FORMULA OF LAVENDER AND VANILLA. THE JOY IS GONE! THE CALLS ARE GONE! PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!! THE NEW SCENT IS NOT NEARLY AS GOOD. PLEASE! PLEASE!

I love this stuff. It is by far my favorite fabric softener. Everyone asks about my clothes smelling so nice. Plus, my Mom even asked me how I got her clothes to smell so nice when she came to visit. One warning though, if you use to much, your clothes will smell super sweet, almost like candy. This is fine with me but maybe some men wouldn't be so ok with it.

Even after doing a second wash to ensure all is cleaned out, it still lingers on your clothes for that clean smell.

This is my absolute favorite fabric softener ever!!! It smells amazing on my clothes and makes me happy every time I get a whiff of it throughout the day. It truly is a calm blend of soft lavender and vanilla. I will use this as long as you make it !!!!

I love this whole line it not only softens my clothes but this is a new geel they feel great . And the smell is unspeakable I almost don't want to she my new found friend but I do . [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The scent is amazing. It’s strong in the bottle but on the cloths and towels and especially my bedding is soft and mild but yet smells heavenly. I smell my blanket til I fall asleep. The bottle is super lux and looks so expensive but it’s definitely not. I’m totally going to keep using this fabric softener. I hope there’s dryer sheets too because I’m going crazy with this scent. Love it!

Do not buy this fabric softener. It has ruined many of my clothes. Smells nice however it leaves purple marks on my clothes. I have been a downy fan all my life but this product has ruined my feelings of what kind of products P&G are putting on the market. Would like a full refund for this poor excuse of a product and for all my clothes that have been ruined. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!

I can't begin to describe how upset I am that Simple Pleasures Lavender and Vanilla is no longer available. I LOVED that scent and LOVED washing my clothes in the detergent with the same scent in fabric softener and dryer sheets. Now I don't know what to do. The new lavender scent is HORRIBLE!!!! I smelled it in the store and would not buy it. It was disgusting! I would love to know why the company decided to change the formula to this awful one! I think we should all boycott downy until they bring it back!!!! If anyone has any suggestions on other brands that smell similar, please post it so we can all be happy again!
