[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first opened this I was so excited about the scent, however it doesn’t last. By the time you take them out of the washer the scent is pretty much gone. I really thought the packaging was cute too when I first got it, but it isn’t durable after about the third time using it the spout started leaking. It didn’t seem to make much difference in the softness of our laundry either. It is okay, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. 

Dang! I thought it was just me! I am so pleased that I found this website. I rarely write product reviews. My laundry has smelled bad ever since I switched to this product. It doesn't seem to soften my laundry, either. I love the scent, but it doesn't carry through to the end of the wash cycle. My laundry smells like the dog has been running through it. It's not just musty, it's nasty. Also, having an older-type washer which I bought recycled/reconditioned (like new), I do not have the benefit of a fabric softener dispenser. I can no longer find the Downy Ball anywhere. I've tried using the Downy beads, but they are quite expensive per use and I have to use quite a bit per load to make a difference in the quality of the laundry. Unfortunately I purchased the El Jumbo size DSPLSL, and it will take forever to go through it. My money was wasted. I would like a refund, or a free coupon for a similar size, but better performing Downy...and the Downy Ball. Maybe you have some extras in the Downy museum? :-)

This new Downey is terrible! I can't stand it! I am so disappointed that you took my Downey Lavender and Vanilla off the market. This scent is so offensive that I had to rewash my clothes. Please please bring back our original Lavender and Vanilla. Everyone always complimented me on the way my sheets and towels smelled. We can not stand this new scent and when we tried going back to the original "April Fresh" Downey we can't live with that scent either. TOO STRONG! I'll have to look for an alternative to your products. I'd rather go with another brand that is unscented. Something that is definitely less offensive to my olfactory sense! :(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fabric softener is one of my favorite smells. It’s probably horrible for your health, but it smells so good, and I don’t have to deal with static on my clothes or bedding. I don’t use it all of the time, but it’s great for sometimes.

I absolutely do not like the new Lavender scent. I prefer the original Lavender and Vanilla scent and the Tide detergent with Lavender and Vanilla, not just lavender. I think I will try another brand to wash my clothing with because I do not like the other scents as much as I liked the Lavender and Vanilla.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is wonderful. The smell is not overbearing. It will make your clothes smell very fresh and clean. The smell also lasts and doesn’t fade. My clothes have never been this soft after washing. I also like how the bottle is slim and easy to pour into the wash. Very happy with this product.

I am not a fan of the lavender smell but I LOVED the vanilla and Lavender. I do notice that I have dark spots on my clothes randomly and need to rewash them w/o softner. I've mainly switched to dryer sheeets because of this. Please bring back vanilla and lavender though, it smelled so good.

I loved the "old" Lavendar/Vanilla softener. It smelled wonderful, and had a softer scent. This new revamped formula/scent, even though it says it's the same, is not. I noticed it as soon as I opened the bottle. Then when I took sheets/towels out of the dryer, the smell was different. The old scent had more vanilla in it. This one smells like it came out of a cedar chest and it makes me sneeze. Go back to the old scent, please!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Downy has always been one of my favorite fabric softeners. The scent is strong but calming. After using it for a load of laundry, my clothes sleep and feel great. The bottle is cute. I love the cap of the bottle itself.
