The new scent is awful!
I have bought Dawn for years and always loved it. I buy in bulk so it lasts a while. I've just bought my next bottle and the new scent is so overpowering and artificial smelling. It gives me a headache within minutes of using it and the smell fills the entire kitchen, lingering long after I finished washing up. I have had to throw out the bottle and will now be switching to another brand. Dawn, I don't want yet another generic response stating your products go through vigorous safety testing/everyone's preferences are different/this scent was chosen after significant customer research etc etc. It's pretty clear from the number of one star reviews here that I am not in the minority. I'd prefer action and a return to the original scent and formula.

Will not buy again
Have used and loved Dawn for years, but with the new scent, I'm out. It's strong, perfumy and so cloying you can't get the scent off hands or dishes no matter how much you rinse. Not good when your food reeks like cheap body spray and animals don't want to use their bowls. Would return if I could. Into the garbage it goes.

Dawn's New Fragrance is HORRIBLE!
Haven't bought Dawn since the Fragrance has changed. They ruined Dawn! The Original Scent is gone. Even the Apple Scent STINKS OF PERFUME! This stuff is horrible. We've bought 4 different types in the last week, and they are all disgusting. Why would you try to fix what's not broken? Now I have to find a new brand of dish detergent. I cannot stand the smell of this!

Are there plans to bring the true original scent back? How do we get the idea to your product development department? I'm pretty good at gaslighting whoever is in charge to make it seem like their idea. LMK if I need to develop a PowerPoint or 4 part graphic.

This stinks!
I don't know who's great idea it was to change the scent of original dawn but, eww, it is awful. This new scent immediately gave me a headache. I'm just so disappointed. We had been using platinum for a while and I was missing the clean scent of the original, much to my dispair, it has been ruined. Not only is the scent awful, it seems like it dries out my skin much more than the previous version. Please bring back the old formula!

New scent is TERRIBLE!
While the old/ original scent of Dawn blue liquid wasn't my favourite…I switched to it when Sunlight dish detergent became impossible to find. The new scent is terrible. I had to throw it out as the scent remained behind & we could smell it on our dishes, while cooking. Absolutely awful! It's clear that your test group has a largely different preference to your loyal users. Time to listen to the majority Dawn. Switch back to the original scent.

If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. To remove the scent/taste, please soak the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added. Awful… can't get scent out of my plastic cups. Been using Dawn for 30 years. Looking for new product because the change is terrible, nauseating to drink a glass of water and smell the soap. We stopped buting Dawn for now, maybe make tge original available.

Bring back the old Dawn original
've used Dawn Original for over 20 years, but the new scent is overpowering, causes headaches, and lingers on dishes. Please bring back the original formula or offer an unscented version in Canada. Loyal customers are leaving due to this change—please listen before more follow.

NEW SCENT IS HORRIBLE!!! I opened a new 70oz bottle and the smell made me toss it in the trash! What are y'all thinking!! Bring back the original smell not whatever you are attempting for this new stuff to smell like!

Horrible Scent
I can't use this due to the scent. For years, the only dish soap that hasn't made me nauseous is origini blue dawn. Now that has been changed. Also, the change wasn't noted on the packaging. Very disappointed.
Thanks, Joe, for picking up a Dawn Platinum Powerwash Dish Spray Refill, and using your previously purchased sprayer to dispense the product. We're sorry to learn that your sprayer's not working now. It might help to know that our Quality Team shares that each sprayer should last around 5 bottles. After 4-6 bottles, it's not unusual for the sprayer to need to be replaced. When you move the sprayer to a new refill bottle, be sure that the dip tube’s facing the same direction as the nozzle. Note that the tube bends. The bottom of it should be facing the same way as the nozzle. Speaking of the nozzle, check that it’s not clogged. If it is, run warm water over the nozzle for a few minutes to loosen any clogs that may have occurred. Let us know if this helps, by calling us any Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM, EST.
