An insult to my sense of smell
I bought this recently, and after using it twice I will return it because of the fragrance. It smells like cheap, overscented laundry detergent. Too bad, because for years the product was my go-to for liquid cleaners. Now I'll have to find another brand. You blew it, P&G.

New Scent is Terrible
This new scent is just awful. I didn't know what kind of consumer testing you guys did but it did NOT work. Hate that you changed something that was as close to perfect as could be. This now smells more like laundry detergent than dish soap. Time to change what kind of dish soap I buy.

Awful New Scent
I loved Dawn so much and swore by it as the only dishwashing liquid I'd use. I'm incredibly sensitive to smells but always found Dawn pleasant and unoffending. However, the new scent is absolutely awful and after 20 years of using your product exclusively I'm switching away and I refuse to buy Dawn unless you bring back the original scent. Way to tank your product.

The Dawn new clean scent causes migranes
I cannot not use the new clean scent dawn. I even resorted to hand washing a few things with Windex to avoid the headache. Sorry as we have been using dawn for more years than I can remember and I'm nearly 70. I realize the heading on this feedback page says Dawn Original Dishwashing Liquid but the bottom of the form listed clean scent. We need the original back or this will start to kill the baby ducks.

We can assure you that all Dawn products, including its perfumes, are extensively evaluated for safety and are safe for use as directed. This includes the use of Dawn for emergency first-aid intervention by trained professionals in accidental exposures of animals – including accidental oil contamination of marine wildlife. As well, a lot of thought goes into creating features that we think you'll like, and this fragrance change was implemented after receiving positive feedback during extensive testing with consumers. If you'd like to remove any scent from your dishes, we suggest soaking them in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it or running them through the dishwasher (assuming the dishes are dishwasher safe). We'll be sure to share your comments with our team, and we do recommend that you discontinue use of this particular product if this has been your experience. We suggest giving another Dawn version a try if you'd prefer a different scent, such as our Dawn Free & Clear, which features our lightest scent. Absolutely NO WAY!
New scent is awful! Not all of us want sickeningly sweet floral scents like Gain or other chemical products! Especially on our dishes! Go back the original scent please! It was mild and authentic and brought back memories of my grandmothers house when I was a kid.

New Fragrance is Awful
Dawn dish soap is great for cleaning, but the new fragrance is so awful I won't buy it anymore. It smells like cheap flowery perfume. I liked the mild, clean fragrance of original Dawn. I'm continually amazed that companies take a trusted product and then change it on a whim. It's not an improvement, it's a downgrade. Brand loyalty is a 2 way street, Dawn!

Bring back Original Scent
I cannot stand the new "clean" scent! It's sweet and fake smelling. Reminds me of the newer laundry detergent and dryer sheets with the same chemically made sweet scent. I keep my windows shut when neighbors are drying clothes to avoid it. Now it's in my dish liquid! I bought another brand. At least, give people the choice of the original scent. It's iconic and that is what smells clean. Those poor ducks that now get washed with that smell..

Wake up P&G! Fix this toxic scent disaster!!
Dawn Ultra's violent new fragrance is off the charts for its intensity and ability to linger on fingers, dishes, surfaces and in the air for hours. For those of us with allergies/scent sensitivities, it's truly migraine-triggering (and just plain horrible). Phthalates in fragrances have been linked to cancer, heart disease, ADHD, reproductive issues, and many health harms. Who knows what's in this toxic fragrance mix!!

To remove the scent from your dishes, soak your dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it or run them through the dishwasher (assuming the dishes are dishwasher safe). As for your hands, rewashing them with a mild soap will help remove the scent from them. Smell is unacceptably horrible
Used to love dawn and used it exclusively. This new scent makes it a solid nope for me (I would give it zero stars because that's how awful it is). It smells like a funeral florist shop puked in my kitchen. So stinky my husband won't do dishes now until I get different soap! I washed my hands with straight white vinegar and they STILL smell like this disgusting soap. It's so pungent, it permeates the entire house (I couldn't imagine being pregnant using it!).

Hate the smell!
Why did you change this product? The smell is disgusting. Why do you think people want to smell that while doing dishes? Do not suggest for me to use your fragrance free product because it is not available in the 70 oz refill size and is not available in any stores in my town. After using your product for 40 years I am sad to say I will be buying a different brand.
