The new scent is awful!
I have bought Dawn for years and always loved it. I buy in bulk so it lasts a while. I've just bought my next bottle and the new scent is so overpowering and artificial smelling. It gives me a headache within minutes of using it and the smell fills the entire kitchen, lingering long after I finished washing up. I have had to throw out the bottle and will now be switching to another brand. Dawn, I don't want yet another generic response stating your products go through vigorous safety testing/everyone's preferences are different/this scent was chosen after significant customer research etc etc. It's pretty clear from the number of one star reviews here that I am not in the minority. I'd prefer action and a return to the original scent and formula.

Disgusting new stench
The new Dawn scent is disgusting, I'm looking for other dish soaps to use even though I had been using this for decades. It wasn't broken, you shouldn't have “fixed” it. How much did you pay the guy who made this formula change decision? Have you paid any attention to all of the negative reviews around the internet? I'll come back to Dawn, but only if the original scent is brought back. What you should have done is come out with a new scent to add to your line if you felt it was needed, you should not have changed such an iconic product that I'm sure is the cornerstone of this brand since it is the “Original.”

The smell is nauseating
The smell!!! What are you doing? Lifetime user of Dawn and love the product. The upside down squeeze bottle- game changer! But for real- the new smell is awful and unnecessary. If I want perfume-y smells on my dishes and hands, I'll switch to gross Palmolive. Please please please tone down the smell. And don't say blah blah porous items can retain smell- it stays on my hard anodized steel pans too.

New smell is AWFUL
We just bought a new container of the platinum dishwashing liquid and were shocked by the new scent. It is so terrible that we are going to give away this container and will no longer be purchasing Dawn. I hope the team re-thinks this move and brings back the original scent.

Awful… can't get scent out of my plastic cups. Been using Dawn for 30 years. Looking for new product because the change is terrible, nauseating to drink a glass of water and smell the soap. We stopped buting Dawn for now, maybe make tge original available.

In regard to the scent lingering on your dishes, we wouldn't expect this to be your experience either, however, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. To remove the scent/taste, please soak the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added. Worst scent ever for a dish washing liquid.
Sadly P&G took something that wasn't broke and "fixed" it. The new "original scent" of Dawn is just awful. a clawing sweet floral that is overpowering and nauseating. I for one will no longer buy Dawn. this after over 25 years of using it. It still cuts the grease but I can't stomach the scent.

Dawn was my go to dish soap; not any longer
The smell is atrocious! My whole kitchen smelled like chemical faux flower odor for hours after using it. I will be returning the bottle and going back to Ivory. I understand that manufacturers might fall prey to the marketers "new & modified is better" misleading statements, but I fail to grasp why they don't simply add a "stinky" line to accompany the original, which people have been purchasing & raving about for years. (Don't say shelf space & facing; that is what contracts are for) I'm disappointed to say that I will not be purchasing Dawn again unless the original scent is returned to store shelves.

Return to old formula
The new scent is horrible. I have been a lifelong Dawn user and noticed the change to the new fresh scent over a year ago. I hated it then and can no longer find the original Dawn. We will no longer be purchasing from this company. The scent is too strong and lingers. Definitely not what we want!

Bring back the old Dawn original
've used Dawn Original for over 20 years, but the new scent is overpowering, causes headaches, and lingers on dishes. Please bring back the original formula or offer an unscented version in Canada. Loyal customers are leaving due to this change—please listen before more follow.

I use to use dawn the original with the old scent that it for years !!!! It had quite a mild and clean scent barely there and not overly fragranced which was awesome as im super sensitive to overly fragranced products and never had any issues whatsoever , my dishes would smell just clean and no fragranced lingered . However for whatever idiotic reasons they've decided their soap needed a change of fragrance?🙄 seriously ? Everyone i know hates and or even better LOATHES the new scent 🤢🤮 it smells like sewer mixed with cheap perfume sprayed ontop to make it "floral" its DISGUSTING 🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤢🤢🤮🤢🤢! I tried it several different times trying to hope maybe it was a bad batch and jope , its just the scent of it now and im devastated because it was my go to soap for everything!!!! Our clinics even had to stop using it because our providers and clinic staff hated it to ! Seriously stop telling us lies about having such "positive feedback " most all your reviews on the product say the same thing as us , its disgusting and headache inducing , it lingers on our dishes no matter how much we rinse or how long they air out , we can taste it in all our cups 🤢🤮, do what all of us want and change it back to the REAL ORIGINAL SCENT 😤!!!! SINCERELY ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS 🤢
