icky residue!

I bought the cascade half gel and half powder detergent pouches and I used a couple and threw the rest of them away....I had to re wash all my dishes twice and there wad still nast stuck on food and residue on them. I used ONE Finish liquid detergent pouch and they came out crystal clear. I am pretty sure the residue had nothing to to with lack of jet dry being I used the Finish and it took all the residue away on the third time trying to get my dishes clean. I will never buy this product again.

HORRIBLE AFTER TASTE!!!!

I have been a huge cascade fan for years. About a month ago, I switched over to the liquid Cascade Complete with the Orange top. OMG the aftertaste is horrible!!! It's nauseatingly bad! At first I thought it was a cup that didn't get fully rinsed and had residue in it but no. It's in EVERYTHING plastic or silicon. I even switched to another unscented type to get rid of the taste. After two weeks of hand-washing dishes, rinsing them in vinegar, etc. I still taste that scent, my dishwasher still smells like it, my oven even smells like it now from the silpats. My cookies even taste like that horrible taste. It's AWEFUL!!!! I feel like I am poisoning myself and my family... this smell wont go away. YUCK!!!!! HOW DO I GET RID OF IT!!!!

The Best Pac

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used other dish washing products and found that Cascade Platinum is the best. It actually does clean caked on foods. I wasn't skeptical at first but got brave and left food on, did not rinse the plates, silverware and pots and everything came out clean. Even my dishwasher remains clean. Glad I tried it.

Best Cleaner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the packs with the cleaning power of Dawn. I work at a nature center and we use Dawn on all the animals. It gets the grease off my dishes as good as the oil from a duck! No need to pre scrub!

Not the best purchase

I have been buying Cascade Powder for over 20 years and when I knew a new formula was coming out to be more enviroment friendly, I choose to buy a few remaining old style because I liked how it cleaned. I now I had to buy the new style and it has oxidized all my cookie sheet pans, my large cake sheet pans, muffin tins, and a large roasting pan, ones that I have had, and never had problems in the past. I cater weddings and these items are important to me as I purchase fairly expensive items. I now will have to replace these as they are unusable.

Stinky, Dirty Dishes

I've tried all of the "new and improved" products and HATE THEM! I've had the dishwasher repair service out twice for my new dishwasher which is less than one year old. I thought it was the dishwasher, then thought it was the garbage disposal, but now find it's the detergent! The dishes have food particles on them if I don't use a separate rinse agent (what happened to "All in One?"). And they stink like fish even if they look clean when using the rinse agent (the repairman confirmed the smell). Our City tap water smells just fine, so I know it's not that, and we rarely eat fish. Please don't imply that I'm not operating the cleaning process properly and completely. I've been keeping house and using a dishwasher for over 30 years and have never had this problem. I've tried two different cleaning agents for the dishwasher, that the repairman recommended. I've run white vinegar through the dishwasher. We get the water nice and hot and don't run anything that would lower the water pressure. We scrape the chunks off the plate and load the dishwasher properly. I am at my wits end!! It is so embarrassing to serve food or drink from my dishes, as they smell! I have noticed the same thing at friends' homes. I have to rinse the dishes with City tap water prior to putting them in the cupboard! I'm at a point of just washing by hand, it's so frustrating. I don't care how much you say that the product works and it's the operator that needs to change -- this product does NOT work and it's the product that needs to change. I am returning it and not buying it again unless IT changes. Why use a dishwasher if I have to do the dishes again by hand? Yes, we're keeping phosphates out of the oceans (which is a minute amount, by the way) but we're wasting water, time, energy and money using something that just does not work. I believe in preserving our environment, but there are plenty of other issues that are far greater than the minute amount of phosphates in our water systems. If we are going back to washing by hand, we should start making our own bread and sewing our own clothes, too. This is just ridiculous.

Clean dishes but.....

It did clean my dishes ok, but it left a white film on them. I ended up going back to using really cheap dishwasher soap and adding vinegar, my glasses and dishes came out spotless then. Adding vinegar to the machine with this product only made things worse! Not recommended for very hard water, even with rinse aid!

You may change too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use to use a different brand, until I received a sample and a coupon. I used both and Cascade has become my favorite. I have recently changed from the complete pacs to the platinum. My dishes are clean come out clean, even the tough stuff and I love the gentle fragrance. I would recommend that you try it, if you are using another brand.

Good Product value

Like some of the other writers I am disabled. Cascade complete simpley does the job, and does it well. I can't reach the sink from my wheelchair, so washing dishes by hand is out of the question. My dishwasher must do a good job, which it does as long as I use this product.

Miracle Product

When we built our home 9 years ago we installed a very expensive european dishwasher. Bottom line....it did not clean the dishes very well. I was using Cascade powder but the dishes were not clean and there was a film on the stainless steel interior of the machine. I told my husband that we would have to replace the dishwasher which was not in our budget for sure! On a whim I bought a pack of the Cascade All-in-one soap. Bingo! My dishes were clean and film in my washer is gone. I will never switch. What a wonderful product! Thank you so much! I love the red one!
