Amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I did an experiment to see if the action pacs or another brand would get the grease off of pans we put in the dishwasher. Cascade cut the grease without leaving nasty residue on my dishes. The other pac left a nasty film on my cups and the pan looked like I just pulled if off the stove.

Amazed at Pots and Pans

Today, I was in a hurry and didn't have time to wash my pots and pans by hand. I never put them in the dishwasher for fear that they wouldn't come clean. But today I did. I was amazed at how clean they came out. I no longer will be afraid to wash them in the diswasher again.

Lost the love

Product worked great I love the cubes, but I won't be buying the product again. I am going to email a picture I took of the Cascade cube to corporate to show why. Apparently, the cubes somehow got stuck together. If you try to pull them apart it ruins the cube because it pulls the plastic cover off (specifically, it pulls pieces of the plastic cover completely off). I tried being gentle and pulling minimally, but its all fused together. It's frustrating because it isn't like I could see this by shaking them around. Also just FYI, I bought the big plastic box filled with them. I had a chunk of at least 5 that would hang from holding one... all of them ruined. Considering the price of these, that's a waste of my money.

How I solved the "tabs won''t dissolve" problem...

I've been using the Cascade Cascade Complete® Pacs for a while and was (and still am) pretty happy with them. Like all relationships, even my relationship with my dish detergent required some work. :) On two occasions, they stopped dissolving and it took a lot of trial and error to figure out the problem. ************************************* 1st Time They Stopped Dissolving: I had been using the pacs for a while with no problems. Then one day, the utility company come out to check for a gas leak. In the process of inspecting my water heater, the service person lowered the temperature. I searched online and found out that the water needs to be a certain temperature for the tabs to dissolve. Eventually, I made the connection between the service call, my running out of hot water in the shower and the problem with tabs not dissolving. ************************************* 2nd Time They Stopped Dissolving: I went through an entire pack of Cascade Cascade Complete® Pacs with no problem. The other day I opened a new bag and could not get them to dissolve. I was starting to think that I had a defective bag, but wasn't ready to throw in the dish towel (pun intended) yet. I started inspecting my dishwasher and noticed that the soap compartment and had slats for the hot water to come in and dissolve/disperse the detergent. Then I noticed that I had a really tall plastic picture that was blocking the flow of water to the soap compartment. I moved the pitcher and voila! Problem solved. Tabs now dissolve again. ************************************* Summary of my tips: 1) Make sure water is hot enough 2) Make sure nothing is blocking the flow of water to the soap compartment. Now that I know these two things, I am happy with this product and will continue to use it. I think they just need better troubleshooting tips on the bag. I wasted gazillions of gallons of water trying to figure this out.

Cascade Action pacs 1st time user summary

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just got a working dishwasher installed after 3 years without one, so I was excited to try these out. I was very impressed with the clean of the dishes and no spots on the glassware. However, the only negative I have experienced so far is that even when I do use the extra rinse setting on my dishwasher with high heat setting, sometimes there is still a little bit of gritty/sandy residue on some of the upper rack items. We also use a water softener with plenty of salt in it,so I know our water is not the problem. If Cascade can stop this grit problem, this product would be just about perfect to me.

No thank you

We bought a new dishwasher, We decided to buy and try the Cascade complete all-in-1 actionpacs. Well we were not very Impressed at ALL. If you wash the dishes twice then it works very well. If you Pre-rinse then everything comes out very well. We won't be buying these or using them in the Future at All...So we will be going back to our other product..

Can't prevent water spots

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've followed the directions of the dishwasher and on the bag of the product and we continue to get water spots on all glassware. We don't soften our water however. Ideas to get them clean without stopping the cycle and adding vinegar to the rinse would be helpful.

Don't know where I would be without it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Cascade for a long time and I have never been disappointed. If there was ever anything wrong, it was an error on my part or the dishwasher....NOT CASCADE!! I can't have a functional kitchen without Cascade. Believe it or not, it is a stress reliever. Prime example: I walked into the kitchen at 2 a.m. this morning and to my horror, I saw that the sink was full of dirty dishes and the dishwasher wasn't fully loaded. Instead of getting stressed out and upset, I remembered "Hey no sweat...you have Cascade for that." So even though I was very tired and sleepy, I put those filthy dishes in the dishwasher WITHOUT SCRUBBING or RINSING them because I knew Cascade Platinum would have my back and do the job for me. So it was no surprise that I woke up to a beautiful set of clean and sparkling dishes with a dishwasher to match.

Powerful Washing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have mainly used Cascade in my dishwashers over the years and have been very pleased with the results. For a while now I have been using the Cascade Platinum pacs and have noticed their powerful washing abilities especially on greasy or dried on food dishes. Thanks Cascade for saving me time and energy on cleaning up the daily dishes.

Poor Product

The Cascade Actionpacs are a hit or miss. Some of them dissolve and some do not dissolve at all in dishwasher. After putting the cascade actionpacs in the dishwasher and it not dissolving, we thought it was a fluke and we put the actionpacs in 5 more times to get the same results. The 6th time finally worked, but it is frustrating to waste water trying to wash dishes with pacs that were not properly made to dissolve in the dishwasher. Very frustrated with the actionpacs and will never get them again.
